To the kids today, from the over 30 crowd

Seriously, thanks for this Mike!! ===== When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were. When they were growing up; what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning....Uphill... Barefoot... BOTH ways… yadda, yadda, yadda And I remember promising myself that when I grew up, there was no way in hell I was going to lay a bunch of crap like that on my kids about how hard I had it and how easy they've got it! But now that I'm over the ripe old age of thirty, I can't help but look around and notice the youth of today. You've got it so easy! I mean, compared to my childhood, you live in a damn Utopia! And I hate to say it, but you kids today, you don't know how good you've got it! I mean, when I was a kid we didn't have the Internet. If we wanted to know something, we had to go to the damn library and look it up ourselves, in the card catalog!! There was no email!! We had to actually write...

CNN Polls, wtf?

Latest CNN poll says: Should U.S. troops have fast food and first-run movies on overseas bases? Are we kidding, this is what we want to know about? Even sadder is that 90+ % of responders answered YES. Aren't there more important things we can do for troops that have McDonalds and NetFlix? I'm thinking, oh, armor, weapons, ammo, internet connections/phones to chat with family. Not feeling like fast-food and movies are it. I don't know, maybe things are different in the world and the Military is now a frat.....

Judge: School violated lesbian's rights, but prom cancellation valid - CNN.com

Judge: School violated lesbian's rights, but prom cancellation valid - CNN.com Thank you Judge. Sorry you can't force a high school to have a prom. And this young lady should look at what her personal choice has done to an entire school. In the modern day though each individual somehow feels their rights trump everyone else. To attempt to claim, as the ACLU did, that the school somehow must provide a prom for lesbians is insane. My question would be for this woman's partner would be "do you usually dress like a boy at school?" I'm betting not. I'm betting it was a 'show' for the prom. Glad the school board called the shots. I don't really care about peoples opinions on what 'should be' considered the norm, as I don't agree.

Arrest Made in N.J. Walmart 'All Black People' Case

Arrest Made in N.J. Walmart 'All Black People' Case Excuse me but arrested for what? He exercised freedom of speech. Unless he yelled "fire" or insight panic and fear in mass, all he did was act like an @ss. The only thing necessary was a store apology, which was done. And of course not letting this goon anywhere near the place again. That said, again, arrested FOR WHAT? Is this our goal now, we "arrest" everyone that does something we deem dumb? If so, you thought jails were full before..wait until now.

Ban Salt in NY

FOXNews.com - Chefs Call Proposed New York Salt Ban; Are the people that wrote this bill aware of how often salt is used in food preparation for flavor and taste? Salt, in moderate form as most use it has zero effect on health and even if it didn't, it isn't the governments job to tell you what you can or can't eat. New York, get on the ball here.

Carroll County Times: Westminster, Maryland

Carroll County Times: Westminster, Maryland : "Following are Springfield Hospital Center’s patient demographics: I was reading an article in the paper today that sounded very NIMBY (to quote G. Carlin) "Not in my back yard" about a mental health hospital for the criminally insane. When I got to the bottom and read the numbers, I'm wondering who are the insane ones here. My state is apparently spending $160,000.00 a year on each individual housed with no hope of rehabilitation, simply to house them. Um, I'm sorry but this is our best approach? Spending what Obama would nearly call "the richest %" wage on individuals that have no hope whatsoever of rejoining and being productive in society. How is this an efficient use of taxpayer money? It isn't. Now I don't necessarily mind sounding like the non-compassionate one here, this is literally insane. In case you can't do math, that is over $46,000,000 (yeah, 46 million) a year for these 290 peop...

Roethlisberger

NFL star Roethlisberger accused of sexual assault - CNN.com So when exactly do you realize as an owner of a NFL team that your QB is seriously in need of some control? Maybe if he wasn't hanging around night clubs at 2 in the morning with whores that are drunk, he wouldn't find himself with these issues. While I will not say Big Ben has done anything, innocent till proven guilty, but come on..stop hanging around clubs at night. Why is it so hard to comprehend that you are RICH, have the party at your place with non sluts.
