28th Amendment, a woman's right to kill a baby?
Today SCOTUS decided that abortion was a woman's right, again, this has been a standing position for nearly 60 years so this isn't a shocker. However, something that is is the use of the word 'right'. It isn't a right. I think sane minds can agree that if a woman's life is in immediate danger, or a rape/incest occurred resulting in pregnancy, that these are adequate reasons to have an abortion. In in many eyes, the only reasons. It isn't a matter of choice, there is a human life in the balance. We live in a Country in which we are compassionate in killing a human baby, but not the rapist that caused the baby - we'd rather put him in prison for life, but not take his. Perhaps if a woman had to name the baby and fill out a death certificate it would make people think twice. My position isn't a religious one, it is one based on sanity and what murder is.
