Housing from last year - who cares....

I've got to say, hearing about how housing sucked....in November of 2011...is not a current event to me. The media making a big deal out of shitty housing numbers from 3 months ago, while skimming over the fact that January 2012 saw its best stock start since 1997, is nuts. Can we focus on the 'good' news for one damn second? Seems like we are hell bent on always telling you what sucks, not mentioning what went well for the fear that somehow it has a political affect. Seriously, this current campaign by the Republicans is making me sick. Just shut up with the bashing on one another. Did everyone forget Newt G was a total d-bag that had more Ethics violations than the current crew of clowns. He single handed made Clintons' near impeachment a side bar in most news conversations. How sad is that? Not to mention the media will do anything to make it look like a race between Newt and Romney. Romney is destroying Newt everywhere, Newt wins one BS primary and all the sudden ...

Envy - per our fearless leader

President Obama was quoted with the following: "This is one of the biggest things I'm going to be pushing back on this year, this notion that this is somehow class warfare, that we're trying to stir up envy," Obama said. "Nobody envies rich people, everybody wants to be rich. Everybody aspires to be rich, and everybody understands you've got work hard to be successful. That's the American way." I'm afraid our dear leader needs to look up the definition of envy, which Websters Dictionary defines as: a feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another's advantages, success, possessions, etc. Hmm, it would seem that nearly every American envies something, and the idea of being well off is certainly something to go for on the bucket list. To say that Americans don't envy the rich is irrational, irresponsible and simply out of touch. America is founded around the concept of reward for success, and in recent years Americas fixatio...

Marine arrested for carrying legal firearm at Empire State Building.

A Marine was arrested when attempting to check his legally owned firearm. He had a carry permit from another state, here in lies the problem, that states license to carry isn't recognized in NY state. Now I'm a lifer in the NRA and a huge supporter of independent rights and the 2nd amendment, however, I need to take a different side on this issue. One thing you're taught when applying for a right to carry a firearm is rules of other states. In this case, the Marine should have known his right to carry was not national. Should he face a felony? Of course not, it is a legitimate error and he had no intent to do anything illegal - however - it is illegal in New York. Sorry NRA friends, this Marine should have known better.

Gov, please stop getting involved.

Another government involved failure, this time, with eco-friendly law enforcement vehicles: Can we please stop pretending we're ever going to do anything as cool as Robocop? And the comparison by Mr. Li (the CEO for the government funded cop car) begs for $300M because he can't sell his idea - and worse, he compares modifying a Ford to be a cop car as the same equivalent of a Cessna be used by the Air Force..um..not really. Government, just GET OUT.

15 year old pulls 'pellet' gun on cops, parents wonder why he got shot.

Only in America...only in America can a 15 yr old punch a kid in school, threaten to engage police, then wave a pellet gun which looks like a Glock or HK at two cops - get shot - and have the parents wonder why the police shot him. Really? I mean, FUCKING really? This kid pulls a gun on police, and the cops are the problem? I don't care if the kid was a Saint that never said a bad word in his life; he pulled a gun on police. I also love the after the fact d-bags that ask why the police didn't pull a Lethal Weapon TV move and shoot the kid in the knee. Yeah because that is what is crossing your mind while a kid attempts to shoot you. I'll ask you a question, which ones of the guns below is real? Now after you spend 30 or more seconds studying them at close range in a calm environment - imagine you're a cop in a school hallway and a kid aims one of these at you, how are you going to tell what is what? http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/story/2012-01-04/texas-student-...
