Dems are suggesting emergency inspections of all 'enviro-hazard' possibility oil rigs. And they want the oil company to pay for the inspection. A Senator from Louisiana wants 40% of oil revenue from the government to go to the gulf for clean up efforts. The US needs to be very careful how it handles this. We all want the mess cleared up, and engineers on both the government and private industry side have been working since April 20th to solve this crisis, that said we must not use fear-legislation to void ourselves of oil production. Can you imagine the sheer cost of oil with a failing Euro and if private industry decided that 'working for the US was simply not worth it'. Do you believe China or Russia would offer the same regulation? How about waters off of Cuba? This needs to be extremely well thought out, something Congress does not do well.

Why be exceptional when you can be average. I mean there is far less risk when you lower the bar enough to step over it. That is essentially what Fed Chairman Bernake told students the other day. "Don't go for the Gold" in his words, maybe that is because he is printing dollars and hasn't used the Gold standard since 1971. Good old April 15th, the day the US Government officially lays pipe on its citizens. It is amazing to me to know that nearly 47% of the populous will pay no taxes what so ever and actually have the possibility of getting money back, even though they put nothing in. Think about that, you pay nothing and get a return sounds like a Ponzi scheme, well it is but it is done to "those other people". Every year around this time people start clamoring about taxes, how they owe money or how they pay too much, well where are these people the other 364 days of the year when legislatures are creating these 'bills'? This is truly a girl who knows nothing about what the Tea Parties are about. She is an embarrassment to her generation and youth around the world with her political commentary. She shouldn't assume that because her father is a career politician that she somehow knows more than others when it comes to politics. She also seems to view herself as 'elite' in her knowledge. Mr. President, it is not the GOP that is your problem. You have had a supermajority for over a year in congress. Your problem, sir, is your own party. Your internal split between Democrats and Progressives that ride along the Democratic ticket. You have had the votes needed to pass anything you want, and still it hasn't passed. Why is that? Republicans could simply have not shown up to anything this year and you would still have had enough votes. As a nation the US now seems hell bent on supporting the lowest common denominator. Individuals who, without personal discretion, spent more than they had, lived a very socialist lifestyle sucking off the tit of others and now the government using the tax dollars of responsible individuals to pay for it. The vast majority of income tax is paid by the top 5% earners in the US, 94% of all income tax is paid by the top 50%. How about we STOP scrapping the bottom of the barrel and lowering the bar of success to allow failure to be rewarded. Individual bankruptcy was up 34% last month. All this tea party jazz has liberals and the like that thought they owned marches, rallies, blogs, forums, YouTube and the like in a tizzy. They just can't believe that people would come out for causes other than; race relations, the environment or human rights. The concept that an event could happen that they haven't sanctioned is just mind numbing. On to the tea parties.
