Paula Deen and "nigger"

I am completely taken back by America with this Paula Deen non-sense. Now I am by no means a fan of hers, never watched her shows, never purchased her products - not necessarily because I don't like her, more so because I'm not big on cooking. That said, I can't believe the hypocrisy in America. This country embraces and idolizes people like JayZ & Beyonce; hosting Super Bowls, presenting for the President, and avid users of "Nigger" in everything they write, well, JayZ at least.

"Nigger" in and of itself is a reference, not necessarily an insult without context. This is made factual by the use in Black America towards blacks. Showing that the word is truly context based, as most are. It can be used in a hurtful and inflammatory manner, or as an embrace - but socialist America seems to miss this.

Every album he has focuses on the word "nigger", much like most rappers, but that is embraced by America. But a white woman proclaims that she used the reference decades ago and she is demonized, destroyed if possible, and essentially sanctioned by America. That is pathetic. This Nation  has a colossal race problem, but not the way it is portrayed. There seems to be open-season on anyone White who dare cross an imaginary line of good and bad based on the past. What are we teaching the generations that never knew racism as America focuses on it, those under 50 who never saw it through the same light, but get to see the unfair treatment of whites, if ever so subtle under the surface.

It's truly incredible. I wish America could face its true issues instead of cowering to a few who hold on to the past.
