More over-complicated stupid stimulus

Why is it that government can simply not do anything correctly? So they want to provide "stimulus", again, and buttress a failing methodology of redistribution of funds. So instead of simply adopting a flat tax rate, which would automatically save nearly everyone in the country money, they impose archaic, slow, complex and simply dumb processes. The latest is a ridiculous effort that complicates the employer tax methods to give employees a whopping $15-$20 dollars back a week. Are we kidding? Seriously, are we kidding? Because I'm deciding now between laughing or crying. This is just moronic. You give 170B to AIG, you give 2.5B to Pakistan and you give your citizens a total of $1,040.00 for the year. Awesome. For a government of and for the people, we sure do screw ourselves. We have to be the most generous populous ever to walk the globe. We apparently care far more about giving our funds away than retaining them. Just look at this process. It couldn't be more irrit...

More horse crap courtesy of your federal tax code. Federal taxes will HIKE up the price of cigarettes this week. And to fund what? CHILDREN'S HEALTH CARE. Can anything, I mean anything be more hypocritical? You're funding children's health with something the government can't for the life of it deal illegal but IRS codes it to death as a terrible substance. Now I don't smoke cigarettes, never have, however this is unjust. Our federal government is using tax code to punish people who use a legitimate and legal product. Now it does come down to freedom of choice, you choose to smoke. However, don't misinterpret freedom of choice from selective IRS legislation. If we can't make the product illegal (see prohibition and its wonderful outcome), we should not allow our government to simply tax it out of control. Write your local politician and tell them "this is garbage and a full expression of taxation without representation". I believe fully in children ...

Obama asked 16 world leaders from "the worlds strongest economies" to get together in a huge kumbaya meeting to find out why they collectively suck. Lets look at a few of the winners selected: Invitees include U.N.'s Ban Ki-moon, India, China, EU, Mexico, Russia, Brazil U.N. leader Ban Ki-moon: um, he doesn't run a country but I guess we can pretend he does. India: a country that is just seconds away from nuclear war with our really good friends in Pakistan. EU: again, not a country Obama. Mexico: oh winner winner, I thought he wanted leaders at this event? Russia: well at least we have a leader. Not necessarily your friend Obama but keep drinking your own kool-aid Brazil: ah, same president that said "blond haired, blue eyed people were responsible for all that ales the economy" awesome. Obama - YOU are the president of the UNITED STATES, act like it. You need to make decisions on your own that are for your country. You can't keep going "hey guys, ...

In recent weeks the DOW has climbed 21%, that in all economic terms is the start of a bull market. The question is, is it permanent? Housing has also been moving slowly upward as far as sales of existing homes and new construction goes. This has all been playing out while Obama unleashes a 3.8T spending spree. Now, the spree has not been signed off on so a lot of people ask "why spend it?". The question is, are financial sectors moving forward because they are more solid now than last year or is this movement a direct result of the foreseen eminent passage of this budget? That is a core question. I don't think anyone, liberal or not wants a 3.8T debt. Maybe I'm wrong. Obama also recently established a "tax" group to look for more revenue in the tax code. Of course he did, he is spending more than all the US Presidents combined. Here is a simple remedy that would net more tax revenue and lessen nearly everyone's taxes (seems impossible right?). A flat tax...

Go Allah, rock on So there is a Muslim only community, now aside from the "it was started by terrorists"..which is not confirmed..who cares? There are more than a few neighborhoods in places like, oh, FLORIDA that are pretty much Jewish only communities without announcing it. The only mistake this crew made was 1)being Muslim and 2)Calling it, yes, Islamberg. And the one article comment "they have a firing range that all the citizens use", wtf? How did you confirm this? Oh, you didn't. Then don't print it. I'm a member of a gun club, am I now a terrorist because I regularly go to a firing range? Come on. Now the media is making it seem vastly organized an nearly an epidemic. However, setting up shop in places like NY and VA, I'm not so sure. You aren't exactly far away from gun totting Americans in these two areas. Anyway, stay tuned to this story as it could get interesting.

The auto industry, excuse me...GM and Chrysler. Ford should submit a libel and slander document for how they are getting lumped in with the two losers of D-town. Ford has taken NO bailout money, GM and Chrysler on the other hand are back at the public tit hoping for more money. Now Congress will do what it always does, stick its chest out open its plume and tell the world how bad these companies are. People like Chris Dodd and Barney Franks, maybe even Reid, will tell you these are terrible companies, not worthy of taxpayer funds (because we all know how close to the vest the US Congress keeps those). Then, in a seeming 180 about 4-7 days later, they will give Chrysler and GM the money. It is all a show. That's it, just a show. A way of US Congressman trying to keep their jobs. I mean, who wants to be the Rep form Michigan or the two Senators when you vote "no" to bailing out the largest work supplier in your state? CO2, Carbon dioxide is the natural substance caused by the breakdown of oxygen. So every time you breath reading this, you're releasing what the EPA would like to call a controlled pollutant. You bad bad person, don't you care about the environment?! Stop breathing! Selfish. The EPA in recent months, along with many environmental-Nazi's (yes not all environmentalists are insane, but a few loud ones are), has suffered "ice cap" setbacks. Recent studies in the US and Europe showed some of the following; any changes had a 50/50 shot of working or not working, the ice caps were actually 900,000 sq miles larger than we thought and global warming had leveled off. These are not fun facts if you make money saving the environment because, as with the medical industry, there is no money to be made in the cure only prolonging the illness. The EPA will attempt to act as a savior for the masses, protecting them from the big bad companies polluting 'our' air. That is no...

Welcome to a 2009 US Government version of Enron. Remember Enron, Ken Lay, the company & ceo that got grilled..arrested..now dead..for playing a shell game with money and lying to investors? Well what would you say if I told you that an "institution" was purchasing another "institutions" assets with funds that didn't exist, but the "institution" could create. Sounds very shady right? Well that is exactly what the US Government is doing currently. We are purchasing "assets" from the Treasury with the use of the Federal Reserve. We are doing it to the tune of 1T dollars. This will be catastrophe for the US dollar and interest rates in the near and long term future. You simply can not create money, and we did. We are going to print money on debt that doesn't exist yet. This is the household equivalent of you taking a "credit card check" writing cash to yourself, then paying another debt. You didn't have the money to pay the...

California NEVER ceases to amaze me. Sen. Dianne Feinstein doesn't want solar panels in the Mojave, even though they technically could power the entire country for a year, because they would not be in the spirit of conservation. WTF is she talking about? How is not burning coal for energy NOT in conservationists best interests? Cali, have a quake already and fall off :) WASHINGTON (AP) -- California's Mojave Desert may seem ideally suited for solar energy production, but concern over what several proposed projects might do to the aesthetics of the region and its tortoise population is setting up a potential clash between conservationists and companies seeking to develop renewable energy. Nineteen companies have submitted applications to build solar or wind facilities on a parcel of 500,000 desert acres, but Sen. Dianne Feinstein said Friday such development would violate the spirit of what conservationists had intended when they donated much of the land to the public. read mor...

I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday. Honesty “I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.” George Washington 4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government. Marriage/Family “It is in the love of one’s family only that heartfelt happiness is known. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.” Thomas Jefferson 5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it. Why? AIG did what the US Congress allowed them to do. They violated no law of the package they were given. Chris Dodd admitted he put a clause in that allowed AIG to pay back employees/consultants in the form of bonus checks. Yet, when the heat cranked up...Congress yelled at AIG: "HOW DARE YOU DO WHAT WE, AHH, TOLD YOU TO DO! - BASTARDS" Umm, Congress didn't you OK this? Yup you did. Nice work. And now there is a rumor that Congress wants to stick its fat fingers in Credit Cards. Apparently they aren't too happy the CC are simply cutting back limits and removing holders. Even though this is 100% legal as it is part of their business model. So yet again, government wants to stick its hands in business. Get..the..hell..out.

For decades the practice has been in place and the VA is just now studying to see if this is a health problem for soldiers et. al.. Really? Really?!? We need a study for this? I'd think it would be obvious to assume that if smoking cigarettes is bad for you, inhaling burning toxic fumes is probably bad too. I know I'm going out on a limb. How about you skip that study and fund research to create a plausible respiration system for soldiers to use in the field when "burn pits" are necessary??? Oh, smoke is bad

Chris Dodd, Chair of the Senate Banking Committee, first claimed "I knew nothing of bonus protection in the stimulus package for AIG" then about 5 hours later "I put in the bonus clause". Rushing to his defense was the Treasury Secretary who said, basically, "the Administration made me do it", laying blame at Obama's feet. So the question is, who do you trust? This is some really nice change we've got here. At least Obama didn't lie, this is change. With Bush it took at least a few months to find out how moronic people were, with Obama you find out the same day. Thumbs up to that. The questions is, will these fools get re-elected and is it possible to simply throw them out of office? "I put it in, but it wasn't my fault"

Taxing AIG bonuses So because Congress couldn't read the bill they wrote, they are now attempting to use the IRS to legislate. Via tax code they are attempting to "get money back" because they couldn't write a bill correctly. So they have wasted days/weeks coming up with possible tax solutions. Lovely. I guess it would have been too difficult to write something like: ..monies provided to an institution for the purpose of financial stabilization provided with US Treasury funds will not in any way or form be used to pay for salary or prior services not prudent to the survival and buttressing of the current or future financial stability of the institution. At no point should US Treasury funds be used to pay for present or past employee or consultant efforts or resources. In the case of divergence from this passage will result in removal of the equivalent number of funds from the provision and no further requests for monies will be granted.

Some variation I add are things like: Franks Red Hot, Chili peppers, various mustards, mushrooms, bell peppers, etc. You can make breakfast wraps: 2 eggs, American cheese, onion, bell peppers. Mix them up in a pan, put them in a wrap with some hot sauce or salsa. Perfection. For dinner, roast a small chicken. Pick it clean. That will provide chicken wrap variants for a week. This is because nothing and I mean nothing will tug on your heart strings like the image of a 3 yr old huddled around a 55 gallon drum for heat. However, the 1.5M number listed that startled people was increased from the HUD's official report by.....oh....just a tiny margin of...geez...1.17M. That's right, the true figure as listed by the HUD in 2007 was: 330,000 children. While still appalling it doesn't have near the impact of a headline stating 1.5M children. Not my fault Greenspan, who ran the Federal Reserve forever and a day, has said that it is not the Feds fault for the current economic crisis. That, IMO, is completely inaccurate. Cheap money, created by the Feds interest rates, caused insane amounts of debt spending. The fact is, cheap money bleeds debt. When you feel you can access funds whenever you need them, you are more apt to take on debt. This is what the "world" did, thanks in great part to insanely low Fed interest rates. Whats more, in the 1980's interest rates were around 20%, that is how the US pulled out of a recession and leveled out monies overall value. But 20% in a market of foreclosure is frightening. So, be ready to be in a recession for a long, long time. All is not lost though. Once finally corrected, odds are you'll personally have far less debt (as you'll have paid it down) and far less likely to do it again as you'll be too scared to. Much like the 1930's families that hid money in...

Just read it, go ahead: URBANA, Ill — Someone is disposing of placentas in the sewage system and authorities in central Illinois just want it to stop. Workers-Champaig in Urbanan found a placenta Thursday in a filter that keeps large objects out of the sewage treatment plant. It was the third found this year. Officials say it's never happened before. They wonder if a midwife or veterinarian is avoiding the expense of medical waste disposal. The placenta is an organ that joins mother and fetus and is expelled during birth. They are potentially infectious, although health officials say the risk to the public is low. State regulations prohibit disposal in sewage systems. Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup says he's not entirely sure whether the placentas are human or animal. More testing is under way.

Apparently Congress has not learned its lesson of the losses of having a "gas tax". A gas tax, in theory, is used to maintain the infrastructure of highways in the USA. As anyone can tell, this has not worked. And in recent months revenues have plummeted because drivers are driving less. So the very thing they beg you to do to help the environment and apparently the world, they complain doesn't make enough money. So instead of figuring out how to better budget, they are wondering about a 'mileage' tax. Taxing you for the miles you drive. All those people that they begged to move away from the cities because of congestion two decades ago, would be entirely screwed.
