Taxing AIG bonuses

So because Congress couldn't read the bill they wrote, they are now attempting to use the IRS to legislate. Via tax code they are attempting to "get money back" because they couldn't write a bill correctly. So they have wasted days/weeks coming up with possible tax solutions. Lovely. I guess it would have been too difficult to write something like:

..monies provided to an institution for the purpose of financial stabilization provided with US Treasury funds will not in any way or form be used to pay for salary or prior services not prudent to the survival and buttressing of the current or future financial stability of the institution. At no point should US Treasury funds be used to pay for present or past employee or consultant efforts or resources. In the case of divergence from this passage will result in removal of the equivalent number of funds from the provision and no further requests for monies will be granted.

Fox News or CNN?

Ah, Fox and CNN. Where to start. Each one has its own bias. I was, for a very very long time an avid CNN viewer, literally the TV would be on CNN when I got home from work and stay there. Until the 2008 elections. I could not believe how much CNN backed the Democratic party. Almost to a point of annoyance. For every on RNC member on a panel there would be 2 DNC, usually one black man and one woman. The RNC person was almost always a white male. What I couldn't believe was the entire lack of respect for the opposing candidates on the Republican side.
