Tragic Shooting in Colorado.

It is a shame, the other night nearly a dozen people were shot in a Colorado movie theatre by a lunatic. It is sad that part of the human condition can lead to insanity. This individual adorned himself with red hair, to emulate the "Joker", put explosive traps in his home and car, and entered a theatre in Colorado with an AR15, shotgun and .40 calibre handgun. This man then decided to, randomly, kill people. This man, is a lunatic.

It is sad that these types of events occur, there is no rhyme nor reason for such a random event. This man had only one run in with the law, and that was a speeding ticket. This is truly one of those events you couldn't have predicted, nor been prepared for. This is one of the problems of the human condition; things just seem to happen.

What is important is to not lose site of the important aspect here, people died. There was not level of security, nor law, that would have stopped this event. There are dangers in the world, there is injustice, these are facts of a civilizations co-existence. No amount of laws would have stopped this action, no gun laws, no security, no amount of protection could have prevented this. We must be vigilant not to allow our day-to-day lives be filled with fear of the unknown or the possible. There is no point in living in fear.

Fox News or CNN?

Ah, Fox and CNN. Where to start. Each one has its own bias. I was, for a very very long time an avid CNN viewer, literally the TV would be on CNN when I got home from work and stay there. Until the 2008 elections. I could not believe how much CNN backed the Democratic party. Almost to a point of annoyance. For every on RNC member on a panel there would be 2 DNC, usually one black man and one woman. The RNC person was almost always a white male.
