Man on the Moon
Consider the information we could bring back from the moon, weather sensors, high-resolution cameras, web feeds, everything and anything you could think of, why have we not gone back? Now I’m not one of those ‘theorists’ that thinks we never made it to the moon in 1969 – I believe we did. I do however wonder what happened up there and why we abruptly stop going after Apollo 17 and budget cuts under Nixon (which totaled less than 50 million saved). More importantly, why has no one else gone? You can’t tell me that Russia both during and post Cold War doesn’t want to say to America “hey we were there last”. Why wouldn’t China have attempted something? The idea that nobody wants to go there in private industry seems confusing as well. I can just see Google selling feeds of ‘Lunar Content’.
Just makes me curious about why we would not have an interest in going back. Instead we waste money on two failed space stations that don’t do a whole heck of a lot aside from science experiments that few know about and even fewer see a point in (for example: how spiders spin webs in a zero-gravity environment). Food for thought.
