Dems, social problems are nothing in light of current issues.
The fact of the matter here is the US has real problem, real everyday problems, not notional or 'social' value problems, all out end of life as you know it problems. The continued press for class-warfare by Democrats has pushed America to the brink, and more and more moderate individuals have realized this. That is why a sitting President is neck-and-neck with a challenger, when the President should have a significant lead. The problem for Obama is that he built himself up in 2008 as this Global unifier with unprecedented capability, then after two years with a completely Democratic Congress, he could get nothing done. Now it is true, most Presidents would have had trouble through 2008-2010 regardless of decisions they made, but every decision Obama made has made the problem exponentially worse. Instead of focusing on legitimate factors to guide an Economy, he focused on popularity and base pandering. And now we find ourselves in a 17T deficit and no way out. Even if we taxed the 'dreaded 1%' everything they had, we still couldn't run the Government for a week. Entitlement spending is killing America, but Americans are too lazy to recognize it. Our lives of entitlement from owning the coolest smartphone, to following 'celebrities' on Twitter to socialized medicine has built a lazy society that is incapable of supporting itself. Currently the United States is engaged in more than three armed conflicts within the Middle East, but I would highly doubt the average American could name more than two..and they couldn't find those two on a map.
Disconnection from reality has become the American norm, look no further than states such as California or cities such as Chicago. Constant policies of destruction that pander to a naive concept of Utopia. We have lost our course, as a nation we've lost nearly everything that we gained since 1776. We have become confused as to what truly matters and lost in regards to our own responsibility. We have become over dependent on outside assistance, whether from Government or other Nations (aka, China cashing us out). We need to be responsible for ourselves, whether that is socially or economically. We can only fix our problems by recognizing our faults and understanding the difference between Needs and Wants. We are as children, we claim the 'need' things for our existence to be fair and complete but in reality, they are wants. We need to keep a clear objective in mind that is not fogged by the conceptual distraction of Utopia that is generally forced upon us by someone who wishes to amass power at the cost of class warfare.
