We tried "Hope & Change"

So in 2008 America decided to try a new direction, one that claimed to aim away from War, away from Greed and the betterment of a society. It was nearly like the new generation of Camelot, to steal a Kennedy phrase, and carried equal pomp and circumstance. However, as time has played out, it has continued to be a thinly veiled and empty promise. The President came in and promised sweeping change and betterment, he had complete support of a full Democratic lead US Congress for over two years and yet, all that we seemed to receive was a failed Health Care replacement and trillions of dollars of debt; along with extension in the same policies he ridiculed his predecessor for and a new War along with escalated covert interacting in middle-eastern countries.

All in all, America is far worse off in many forms that it was in 2008. Now the global economy and climate did not aid the President, and in most cases the United States is in a far better position than others; however the President sits at the head of the table - the good and the bad are attributed to him. As a result, he claims the success of executing Bin Laden and he must claim the failure of increased unemployment and debt.

America needs yet another change, and that is the glory of the United States system. Every four years the US has a chance to turn the rudder, and the rudder..needs turned.

Fox News or CNN?

Ah, Fox and CNN. Where to start. Each one has its own bias. I was, for a very very long time an avid CNN viewer, literally the TV would be on CNN when I got home from work and stay there. Until the 2008 elections. I could not believe how much CNN backed the Democratic party. Almost to a point of annoyance. For every on RNC member on a panel there would be 2 DNC, usually one black man and one woman. The RNC person was almost always a white male. What I couldn't believe was the entire lack of respect for the opposing candidates on the Republican side.
