NAAWP - National Association for the Advancement of White People.

Image
Let's just say the following Organization existed: The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of White People is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination. Vision Statement The vision of the National Association for the Advancement of White People is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race. And after all that, I called it the National Association for the Advancement of White People (NAAWP). In this organization I also focused on schools and the advancement of white students, offering them special courses and activities - curriculum - geared around improving their capacity. While I'm up, I also found "Historically White Colleges" and label them as such throughout the United States. With this organization, I sought equality. Since 63% of the population of the United States is declared 'w...

Discovery Channel accused of being "Insensitive" for having #SharkWeek with N.C. attacks.

Image
Attorney Mike McKinnley, a lawyer representing Jasmine Casine a recent shark attack victim in North Carolina, has threatened to sue the Discovery Channel for being "Irrationally insensitivity given the current events" and that if the Discovery Channel doesn't end the programming he will lead a Class Action Lawsuit as well as organizing a boycott. CEO John Adams was quoted as saying "this seems absurd, I mean SharkWeek has become an icon in the programming line up and, seriously, none of our sharks were even filmed off of N.C, so we're pretty sure they didn't hurt anyone". With the plethora of tagging going on and the accountability of the sharks it would seem as though Mr. Adams sits on firm ground, however, Mr. McKinnley doesn't see it that way: "Ya know what, if John had taken the time to watch the reality movie Jaws, based on obviously real and accurate accounts, he would understand the people are routinely attacked by sharks. In fac...

#blacklivesmatter - NO THEY DON'T

Image
Apparently black lives do in fact, NOT MATTER. Why else would blacks be killing themselves in record numbers? Over the weekend over 20 people were shot, a 7 year old killed, all in the urban streets of Chicago where "anti-2nd Amendment Gun Laws" are more prevalent than taxis.  Nobody marched, no riot, no obscene media coverage. No calls for removal of the City of Chicago's Flag. Why is there such an absurd double-standard in America for "Whites" and then "Blacks"? Don't quote me Slavery or oppression, maybe that was the calling card in 1960-1990 but certainly not now. Not with the sheer amount of laws on the books tilting everything in favor of one group of people (which by all accounts makes up less than 1/3 of the Nation - Democracy no more). Japanese families were imprisoned in America just 70 years ago (not 200) and they don't have special care programs or burn down their cities, why? How about every other ethnic version of a Caucasian ...

Independence Day

Image
With America as fractured as it is today in 2015, it is hard to imagine a similar group coming together in 1775 to wage war with one of the Greatest Empires to ever rule the world -- even harder to believe is this same rag-tag group would declare formal independence from the same.  The Colonies came together because of years of slights, not one simple event nor act. Historians, in an effort to educate the masses, attempt to boil events down to easy to remember chunks - the Stamp Act, the Boston Tea Party - however this was far more complex and happened over years, not months. Few remember that 1775 began the American Revolution (not the declaration in 1776) and that the Whig party within the Empire was very liberal and very much on the Colonies side right up until all out War. We also forget, generally, the role the French played in securing American independence, and that if it hadn't been for the 7-Years War (1754-1763) between France and England, American would most lik...

As Long as you keep looking for "Gay Rights" you'll have a legal battle.

Image
Stop singling yourselves out homosexuals and lesbians, start simply saying you want the rights of an American Citizen, which you are, under the Government. The same protections, deductions and accesses, nothing more nor less. When you keep reiterating that you're somehow 'different', you will continue to see a battle in your eyes. At this point, there should be little if anything limiting you from healthcare access, tax deductions, etc, anything offered by the Federal or State Governments. What this does not include is generalized 'acceptance' by the other Citizens, and you know what, no matter of 'law' does that. Constantly singling yourselves out as 'special cases' is what continues to lead you to a wall of opinion. My advice, live your life and stop comparing yourselves to others. http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/06/27/us-usa-court-gaymarriage-future-idUSKBN0P62PH20150627

No Responsibility for Your Own Decisions

" The 57-year-old Compton, California construction worker has seen and endured too much, she says, to be excited. Over the years, five members of her family have been killed by guns: her two brothers, at the ages of 28 and 38; her nephew, at 19; her niece, at 16; and her niece's mother, at 28. All of them had dropped out of school in their teens. "We never felt like we were allowed near normal life," said White, speaking from the tidy, two-story home she purchased last year in the struggling suburb south of Los Angeles." Dear person, you and your family have done nothing "normal" that is why you find yourself outside of what you consider a "normal" life. Most people finish school, most people move away from places that have absurd violence, even if they have little money. You and yours have chosen (apparently for generations) to stay. It isn't America's job (and frankly based on your opinion, white americas job) to fix this for y...

Sharks taking the anniversary of Jaws too seriously.

Image
June 1 1975, the movie JAWS hits the screen, so on the 40th Anniversary some Sharks are taking this too seriously down in NC, USA. " When a young woman is killed by a shark while skinny-dipping near the New England tourist town of Amity Island, police chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) wants to close the beaches, but mayor Larry Vaughn (Murra y Hamilton) overrules him, fearing that the loss of tourist revenue will cripple the town. Ichthyologist Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and grizzled ship captain Quint (Robert Shaw) offer to help Brody capture the killer beast, and the trio engage in an epic battle of man vs. nature." 5th Shark attack in NC this summer. http://www.myfoxny.com/story/29418254/shark

In order to form a "more perfect Union" - Same Sex Marriage

Image
The Supreme Court ruled to day that Nationwide same-sex marriages were not up for discrimination. It's funny, see the USSC is responsible for interpreting the US Constitution and Bill of Rights, not mandating for or against, moral doctrine. This is not a "Threat to Democracy", Scalia you fool and even if it were, it isn't your place as a USSC judge to dictate that. The problem here wasn't marriage, gender or otherwise, the issue was Governments once again making rules, laws and regulations based on non-nonsensical rhetoric. It is in no way the Governments place to say that 'legal age' Citizens must love one gender or the next. It is idiotic. The Government has no place in your bedroom and should have 'laws' to dictate one way or the other. This will not lead to : bestiality being legit, people allowed to 'love whatever they wish', this has gone as far as it will. Even if Conservative-morons will say otherwise. Congress shall make no ...

No, DrudgeReport, The USSC loves the Constitution - not 'moving left'

Image
I'm sorry Matt D that the Supreme Court doesn't want to impress you with rhetoric, their job is to enforce the Constitution and weigh it against Legislation, not public opinion - nor even what is 'good or bad' for the public. It focuses on a piece of paper, don't like it, get better Legislators. " WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the nationwide tax subsidies underpinning President Barack Obama's health care overhaul, rejecting a major challenge to the landmark law in a ruling that preserves health insurance for millions of Americans. The justices said in a 6-3 ruling that the subsidies that 8.7 million people currently receive to make insurance affordable do not depend on where they live, as opponents contended." http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_SUPREME_COURT_HEALTH_OVERHAUL_SUBSIDIES?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT

Police Office Nick Struck sings to child after crash.

Image
" (CNN) When a paramedic handed police officer Nick Struck a weeping toddler soaked in gasoline at the scene of a deadly car crash in Brighton, Colorado, his fatherly instincts kicked in. Struck did the same thing he does when his own 2-year-old daughter is upset. He began to softly sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/23/us/officer-comforts-little-girl/index.html

Returning donation money, or impeeding the 1st Amendment?

Well this is slightly problematic, see because it isn't a proven assertion, it's a guess. " Washington (CNN) The first black Republican woman elected to Congress is returning $1,000 in donations from Earl Holt, the alleged white supremacist whose writings have reportedly inspired Charleston shooter Dylann Roof." I don't know, I have issues with peoples words being used as some level of justification for an action (in this case the psycho shooter). Just seems like you're opening Pandora's Box on declaring what parts of the 1st Amendment apply, and what don't http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/22/politics/earl-holt-dylann-roof-2016-gop-donations/index.html

If your teen seems awkward and has a journal, please check it out - thanks, Society

The 1st Amendment in the US Bill of Rights dictates freedom of speech, the 2nd gives you a means by which to defend the first from your own Government. That said, we cannot rip each one apart in an effort to make the other better. Here is a helpful note from folks that have watched society over the last few decades - Parents, if your awkward teenager (and you know who that is - even if you want to pretend you don't) seems to be spending more and more time alone, starts keeping a 'journal' and has a sudden interest in muzzle velocity...it may be time for you to get off the couch and do a little parenting.  You remember parenting, it's the activity you signed up for when you decided to have unprotected sex. I get it, you aren't around your kid all the time, and you want them to grow up, but you know what, they are still your responsibility. So perhaps society, instead of trying to limit the rights of all because you seem to be failing in your duties, should be...

International Yoga Day - stretch baby!

" NEW DELHI (AP) — Millions of yoga enthusiasts bent and twisted their bodies in complex postures across India and much of the world on Sunday to mark the first  International Yoga Day ." 38 Health Benefits of Yoga http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2015/06/21/millions-yoga-day/29064685/

Oh Pope, that is slightly disappointing - banning outside ideas.

Image
Looks like the Catholic Church is keeping its age old tradition of banning ideas it doesn't like or don't work with its doctrine. " VATICAN CITY —   Pope Francis was about to take a major step backing the science behind human-driven global warming, and Philippe de Larminat was determined to change his mind. A French doubter who authored a book arguing that solar activity — not greenhouse gases — was driving global warming, de Larminat sought a spot at a climate summit in April sponsored by the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy of Sciences. Nobel laureates would be there. So would U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, U.S. economist Jeffrey Sachs and others calling for dramatic steps to curb carbon emissions." Long story short, de Larminat should have known when he was told 'if space permits' that his opinion, not square footage, would be determining his presence. So once again, the "climate" chatter is blocked out of anyone with a dissenting opin...

ISIS blames AlQaeda, AlQaeda blames ISIS..this is just silly.

Awe now the terrorist are blaming one another for how they're getting bombed. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/06/20/al-qaeda-points-finger-at-isis-after-us-drone-strikes-take-out-key-operatives/

Taxpayer, why you should be upset about the FiatChrysler attempt to merge with GM

Hey, wake up American, your tax money went to bail out two auto companies, Chrysler and General Motors...remember that? And now these two are considering merging, something that will make their share holders enough money to fill a warehouse. However, you will not see a dime - even tough you are the ultimate share holder because without your tax dollars, they wouldn't be around to get fat now. http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/2015/06/19/fiat-chrysler-fca-gm-merger/28969797/

The Tangled web of Freddy Gray

The Freddy Gray saga continues, a man killed while in police custody and the case just gets more and more tangled. What we learn from all this is that the majority of our police forces actually do care about their job and aren't out there to hurt or injure (see the multitudes of police that are out on the street and NOT injuring anyone). We also found out, at least in Baltimore, that apparently prosecutors also find a way to migrate through the food chain while be absurdly poor at their jobs. Mosley has no business handling this case, she has been terrible from the word 'go'. First she completely over-charged the accused, charges she can't possibly get a conviction on and done in the hope of tampering unrest. A terrible idea. She also is playing this audience like a 3rd grade recess where you can either 'have nothing disclosed (autopsy) or have everything on the Internet' - a ridiculous statement. If she truly wanted justice, she would have immediately removed...

Removing the Confederate Flag

Image
While at first blush removing the Flag seems like a generally good idea, I mean, Germany doesn't go around flying Nazi banners as a tribute to their History but removing a symbol of a past transgression doesn't fix a current symptom. The issue we have in the United States is we continue to perpetuate racism at the highest level, this is why brand new generations of Americans go from not acknowledging race, to bluntly seeing it. We live in a Nation to pretends to wish to pass a race based history yet we have many laws that quite frankly exclude people because they are white. When we do this as some type of attempt to equalize a past slight, we only continue the issue by slighting the next generation of white people. You can't blame a symbol, for a perception any more than you can blame a street name as a reason for a revolution. You can't hide from history, but you absolutely can stop highlighting it and perpetuating a trend of Government tilt based on race. http...

Poor Alexander Hamilton, he is getting chopped due to our PC society - he had a good run.

Well, Alexander Hamilton had a good run. I mean he was only a Founding Father and the First Treasurer of the US, so what business does he have being on our currency - issued by the US Treasury. He should totally be removed. That absurdity aside, the only possible valid candidate to replace him that has to have indoor plumbing, must be..without a doubt..Sandra Day O'Conner - for you dumb out there, she was the First Female member of the US Supreme Court. She is the ONLY woman who could possibly even attempt to claim any accomplishments close to warranting a currency role. http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/17/us/gallery/evolution-10-dollar-bill/

Shark rips 16-year old's arm off, he sees the glass half-full

"I can try to live my life the way I was and make an effort to do that even though I don't have an arm, or I can kind of just let this be completely debilitating and bring my life down and ruin it in a way," Treschl said. "Out of those two, there's really only one that I would choose to do and that's the first — to try to fight and live a normal life with the cards I've been dealt. This kid's statement gives me hope for the future. His parents should be awarded a medal for their ability to raise children.  http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2015/06/17/shark-attack-victim-speaks-north-carolina-beach-oak-isle/28854419/

The teachings of Cathol weigh in on the Climate

Well the Pope decided to weigh in on the climate, and since Catholics (all 1.2B of them) think he is the voice of God on Earth, you'd have to at least pay some attention. Here is the problem, Pope-eye doesn't consider the fact that the environment on the plant is cyclical and made up of untold numbers of ecosystems within ecosystems, each playing their part. Wildfires, Hurricanes, Floods and all Natural (NATURAL) events have happened throughout the millions of years of existence of this planet. In fact, a recent thread came out discussing how fossils of Dinosaurs aren't found in the tropics due to these types of environmental conditions - so unless some pre-historic mammal was running around with a refinery or pumping carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, I don't see the attachment to 'humanity'. Here in lies the issue, people refuse to accept that climate change is an ongoing and forever happening event, humans for the blip of time they have been on the planet ha...
