Prius or Hummer?

SPARKLING

Go Joe Go

Reverend Al Sharpton 106 West 145th Street Harlem, New York City , New York 10039 Fax: 212 690 3070 Dear Reverend Sharpton: I have read about you with much interest since learning of the protest you plan to lead against me in Maricopa County in June as a way to force my resignation or removal from office. Your public proclamation leads me to the conclusion: not only do you not understand Arizona ; you also do not understand democracy. As the elected Sheriff who, so far has been elected to five consecutive four-year terms, I answer to the four million residents of Maricopa County . I do not answer to the whims of the media, or locally and nationally elected officials who want open borders and who have their own agendas. Nor do I answer to a publicity hound outside interloper who has demonstrated no interest in looking for the truth before making loud uninformed noises. While your public outcries are colorful, there are several instances where you have inserted yourself into other people...

9.5M of your bailout dollars spent to lobby Congress

in the past 3 months to lobby the federal government. They spent over 9M of tax payer dollars to ask for 'more' tax payer dollars. And for some reason Obama's crew can't figure out what the 'tea parties' were about. Well lets make it simple CRAP LIKE THIS. Nice zippy oversight by the administration. This is why you do not give the night cashier the managers title after 3 days on the job at McDonalds. They lack experience. Here ya go: -- General Motors Corp., which devoted $2.8 million to lobbying in the first quarter of 2009 --Bank of America Corp., which reported spending $660,000 lobbying while receiving its $45 billion in help; --Wells Fargo & Company, with $700,000 in lobbying costs and $25 billion in bailout money; --Goldman Sachs, which spent $670,000 while receiving its $10 billion; --Morgan Stanley, which spent $540,000 while also getting $10 billion in assistance; --PNC Financial Services Group, spent $135,000 -- nearly double what it did at the end...

Sen. Dianne Feinstein gives 25M of your money to her husband.

Oops. " On the day the new Congress convened this year, Sen. Dianne Feinstein introduced legislation to route $25 billion in taxpayer money to a government agency that had just awarded her husband's real estate firm a lucrative contract to sell foreclosed properties at compensation rates higher than the industry norms. Mrs. Feinstein's intervention on behalf of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. was unusual: the California Democrat isn't a member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs with jurisdiction over FDIC; and the agency is supposed to operate from money it raises from bank-paid insurance payments - not direct federal dollars. Documents reviewed by The Washington Times show Mrs. Feinstein first offered Oct. 30 to help the FDIC secure money for its effort to stem the rise of home foreclosures. Her letter was sent just days before the agency determined that CB Richard Ellis Group (CBRE) - the commercial real estate firm that her husband Ric...

"Yeah, uh! Get up, now! Ow! Knock out this! Super highways, coast to coast, easy to get anywhere On the transcontinental overload, just slide behind the wheel How does it feel When there's no destination - that's too far And somewhere on the way, you might find out who you are Living in America - eye to eye, station to station Living in America - hand to hand, across the nation Living in America - got to have a celebration" I almost feel bad for this guy. I really think he had no idea of what he was doing attacking a US vessel and no contemplation that he could be killed or captured. We should start a massive PR campaign with/around Somalia because these fools were just looking for a way out. Seems they are given this anti-American rhetoric from birth and just run with in, like a lot of their brethren in the Middle East. Now that said, I'm not close to saying "go easy on 'em". It will be interesting to see what this court officially sentences him wit...

Celebretards.

Perez Hilton, I didn't even know who this person was till I saw something on the news yesterday. Apparently this guy (and I use that term loosely) was questioning Miss American contestants. He asked one what her interpretation of marriage was. She said "..I believe marriage is between a man and a woman". Perfect and correct answer. This celebretard Perez then gets all kinds of bitter, because he is gay, and does some dumb video blog yelling at her. Get over yourself Hilton it isn't her fault that your first name is Perez and not Paris. Stop force feeding this politically correct crap down our throats. No, same sex marriages are not right and not something the law can enforce. Now, same civil rights are but that doesn't seem to be what people like Perez are fighting for. Next contestant is Genine Gerafalo who claimed that anyone at a "Tea Party Rally" was a white racist redneck and that the conservatives of the country were now ragging racists. This clown...

Yesterday was a great day

I was working in the yard all day, though it is hard smashing the rocks with a pick-axe, digging trenches, laying mulch and moving what seems like 100lbs bags of soil, I can't think of an experience that brings you closer to nature. Most normal people think it is gross to use your hands, without gloves, to work in the yard. I love it. Can't think of anything that toughens your skin up faster than swinging a 8lb pick, or hauling dirt from one spot to another. There is just something special about doing the work yourself, while you watch others pay to have it done. Go Spring.

CNN doesn't lie at all hahahahahahah.

Directly from CNN article: updated 2:08 p.m. EDT, Fri April 17, 2009 King: Waterman finds Chesapeake Bay 'dying daily' * Story Highlights * Efforts are under way to save the Chesapeake Bay's economy, environment * Waterman Don Pierce has been working the bay for 48 years * Shoreline development has outpaced conservation, restoration efforts, Pierce says * "She's dying daily," he says of Chesapeake Bay Directly from Carroll County Times (Maryland) article posted the same day: ANNAPOLIS — A new survey has found the Chesapeake Bay’s adult population of blue crabs has increased substantially over last year after new management measures were put in place. The Virginia Institute of Marine Science and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources announced the results of the winter dredge survey Friday. They conduct the survey by dragging selected areas of the bay and counting the number of crabs found. The most recent dredge survey estimates the t...

Fox News or CNN?

Ah, Fox and CNN. Where to start. Each one has its own bias. I was, for a very very long time an avid CNN viewer, literally the TV would be on CNN when I got home from work and stay there. Until the 2008 elections. I could not believe how much CNN backed the Democratic party. Almost to a point of annoyance. For every on RNC member on a panel there would be 2 DNC, usually one black man and one woman. The RNC person was almost always a white male. What I couldn't believe was the entire lack of respect for the opposing candidates on the Republican side. Now before you go "damn right-wing Republican" understand these FACTS: - Member of the Democratic Party - Libertarian - NRA Life Member What does that equal? Me. Not a single word up there said Republican. In fact, I've never voted for a presidential republican candidate. Maybe my lack of line loyalty allows me to have an open mind where others seen inherently sheltered. I have very strict guidelines for leaders; 1) be hon...

Whitehouse taxes.

Obama made around 2.6M dollars in 2008, he paid less than 33% in taxes. Biden made over $265,000, he paid just about 25% in taxes. So, how much did you pay?

Tea parties, right-wing extremists and DHS reports

For the life of me I can't understand how Tea Parties, right-wing extremists and Republicans got linked together. DHS released a completely, IMO, illegal audit of its citizens basically stating any protest not praising the government was a 'problem' or could be problematic. You should be very cautious about a government that deems to oversee your utilization of the 1st amendment. You should also give pause when any non-conforming legal protest is vastly critical in government eyes. No matter your affiliation or views if you are a citizen of the United States and actually believe in the Bill of Rights, you should have problems with DHS reports being issued on legal matters. So far, in all the 'unclassified' reports I can read, I haven't seen one mention of anything illegal.

Risk, Reward and Investment

Lately you hear all these sob stories of little investors or Joe the Plumber who bought GM bonds and if this or that company goes under, they lose their money. Well, that is the life of investment. Please show me where it is written that you don't lose in an investment. I have yet to see a single investment that has no risk and no possibility of failure. Are we honestly in the practice of bailing out companies because their investors will lose money? It seems to be the road GM is trying to take their current situation. Pulling on the heart strings and stating 'look at our 6B in bond holders that will lose their investment'. Yes, losing all you money because you decided to sink everything into one company is sad, however, that is the name of the game. It is a risk/reward system. Let me ask this of the heart string pullers, would you feel so sad for those invested fully in Exxon? Or maybe AIG? I bet the 'feeling' would be different. GM for decades succeeded by buildin...

Czar/Tsar

What is this festival we have in the USA with using Czar/Tsar as a 'leader'. Drug Czar, Auto Industry Czar, Financial Czar and now for the win, Border Czar. Last I checked Czars & Tsars in history didn't work out so well. I can recall a few off the top of my head who met their demise by a hail of bullets in 1918. Maybe we should switch to Ministries :)

We didn't start the flame war

Woohoo

Tea parties and what they are really representing

All this tea party jazz has liberals and the like that thought they owned marches, rallies, blogs, forums, YouTube and the like in a tizzy. They just can't believe that people would come out for causes other than; race relations, the environment or human rights. The concept that an event could happen that they haven't sanctioned is just mind numbing. On to the tea parties. I've followed a couple of liberal blogs and news reports essentially dissing anyone of the thousands involved in the tea parties as "useless", "unimportant" or "disrespecting history". Excuse me, ah what? Reminds me of the George Carlin statement: My Stuff: Have you ever noticed that your shit is stuff and someone else's stuff is shit? The idea that you can't use the term "tea party" without degrading its historical value is wrong. Historically it was used to represent taxation without representation. That is what we currently have when the majority of peopl...

Taxes.

"Americans will pay more in taxes in 2009, according to the report, than they will spend on food, clothing and housing combined" - Tax Foundation Group That is something to think about come APR 15 this year, you're paying more to the government then you need to be alive. So you're living to serve the government. Ask yourself this, is this what America was founded to do? Pay taxes? You need to work at least 103 days from January 1, 2009 just to pay your taxes for 2009. So nearly 1/3 of the year is done simply to pay taxes. The lowest tax state in the Union is Alaska, the same place where nobody seemed to take their Governor seriously during the election. The top states that charge the most; New Jersey, New York, California and Maryland round out the top five all majority Democrat states. That should tell you some thing right there. If you like working for nothing, you're getting your way. Fun times

Captain saved.

Woohoo, go Navy SEALs. 1 hostage safe, 3 terrorists dead. AWESOME.

Iraq after the US invasion.

Now Iraqi leaders and other middle-eastern leaders are worried about what will happen when US forces pull out in the next 2 years. These are the same leaders that proclaim how they don't want western involvement. Okay folks, you can't have it both ways. However in their defense, this is partially the US's fault. Had we just let the military be a military and not a police force, this rationalization would have happened years ago. Instead, we did a "Police Bailout" for Iraq and simply used our armed forces as policeman. Dumb. There will be no clean way out of Iraq for Iraqis unless they are willing to stand up and defend their country from insurgent forces from Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iran and Afghanistan. Until that occurs, there will constantly be a policing issue. Iraqi security is dependent on some type of agreement between the US and Iran. but we like you

Gun Laws in the US

Gun laws in the United States make little if any sense. Some how individuals have reasoned in their minds that if there were no guns, there would be no murder. Or some level of that logic. However that is simply, patently, false. Human psychology and makeup dictates that humans, by nature, are aggressive creatures. Humans are also thinking, and persistent creatures. What that means is that if a person really wants to do something, they'll find a way to accomplish it. You can find this in a two year old child. If a child is walking along hitting the family pet with a plastic bat and you remove the bat and tell the child "don't hit the dog", next thing you'll see is the child with a broom handle hitting the dog, "don't hit the dog" you say as you take away the broom, five minutes later the child will hit the dog with a brush and so on and so forth. The moral is, the child 'wants' to hit the dog with something, the child will find the tool. Adul...

Follow up to the Pirates/Terrorists

So they want 2M to save the Captain, fine, have the shipping company do it. As soon as the man is handed over, blow up their 28' crap boat. :) Not the brightest bulbs in the tanning bed

Arrrrr, Pirates.

So Somali Terrorists, oh sorry Pirates..Libby's like to make you think of Jack Sparrow, took over a US flagged ship. This is the first time this has occurred in over two hundred (200) years. In fact, this hasn't happened since Thomas Jefferson enacted the Marine Corps in 1801 to face pirates off Tripoli (oh, yeah..Islamic Fundamentalists..the US's first "global" conflict). It is also important to remember, Jefferson attempted to form a coalition of nations, France led the charge "not" to get involved. Makes you wonder why the terrorists felt they could attack a US flagged ship? Think about this there were over 100 hijacking by sea off the Somali coast in 2008 leading to over 80M in ransom paid, none of which was a US flagged vessel. Now, for the first time a US flagged ship was attacked and boarded. What is generally not being talked up is that the 20 US citizens on board fought off the pirates after hiding in the steering bay of the vessel. Once they cl...

Hilarious

Hired by Uncle Sam...

here Why do people not understand that this is a BAD thing. In the last 6 months the number of private sector jobs has fallen, the number of public sector (government) jobs has increased. What does that mean? LARGE, HUGE, SLOW government control of everything. Follow this out. If the government becomes the complete benefactor supplying everything from your job to your car to your mortgage payment, are you likely to vote out of office the people who put you there? Are you likely to vote for a conservative person who will cut debt and spending? No, you wouldn't. Your lively hood is dependent on the government. Try to critical think people, I know it is hard because it doesn't involve American Idol, Dancing with the Stars or a Plasma TV, but please make an attempt to use at least 1% of your brain.

Got to love the guy for being completely passionate about his objective :) Awesomness

N. Korea

So NK went ahead with the missile launch, which nearly everyone expected. Apparently it was, as usual, a failure. Two parts of the missile broke up over Japan and the "satellite" never made it in to orbit according to everyone but NK. It will be interesting to see how this gets handled in the global community given a depression..oh stop your happy thoughts thinking it is a recession..and the fact that the UN once again committed nothing to world peace (aka, will not send forces unless they observe to the middle-east). Obviously NK does not care one bit about sanctions. And embargoes and such only, ONLY, hurt the people of the nation, not the leadership. If you think differently, take a look at Cuba post 1950s. No citizen uprising is going to occur in NK so stop wishing and hoping world. You're going to have to deal with Jongy for a while to come. My suggestion, remove the US forces from NK and Japan. There is no reason for troops/bases there. None at all. Japan isn't ...

3.5+T budget passes

Um, who does this help? Someone please raise their hand? This entire budget does nothing to help me or anyone I know, but we all get to pay the bill for it. I'd love to hear from someone that actually is being helped by this. Hi grandkids, you owe us money

04/01/09

So April 1 came and went with "things" happening, but nothing "happening". The moral of this story? Buy a Mac :)
