Somali pirates

"Yeah, uh! Get up, now! Ow! Knock out this!

Super highways, coast to coast,
easy to get anywhere
On the transcontinental overload,
just slide behind the wheel
How does it feel

When there's no destination - that's too far
And somewhere on the way,
you might find out who you are

Living in America - eye to eye, station to station
Living in America - hand to hand, across the nation
Living in America - got to have a celebration"

I almost feel bad for this guy. I really think he had no idea of what he was doing attacking a US vessel and no contemplation that he could be killed or captured. We should start a massive PR campaign with/around Somalia because these fools were just looking for a way out. Seems they are given this anti-American rhetoric from birth and just run with in, like a lot of their brethren in the Middle East.

Now that said, I'm not close to saying "go easy on 'em". It will be interesting to see what this court officially sentences him with and what time he gets. Didn't this happen in international waters? What laws govern aggression in that instance? What capacity to prosicute do you have in a state or federal court? I would have thought this was military tribunal time, but I was wrong. Whatever we do, I'm sure there will be a ton of 'appeals' on this guys behalf stating we have overstepped our bounds.
