GM needs to get in touch with Reality- making $3800/hr isn't enough.

The CEO of GM was paid 7.7M in 2011, less than 2M was salary the rest came as cash on stock value. Now consider that he was suppose to make 9M but the stock value fell (fell, indicating the value of the company went down). Since GM wouldn't exist today if Obama hadn't bailed them out with tax payer money in 2008, GM has to file annual salary docs with the Government. Well, in this weeks filing GM showed its CEO salary and then had the unmitigated gall to say they were at a competitive disadvantage. That's right, they said their CEO's should make more than 7M a year.

The important part to note is who they compared themselves to: Ford, HP and Honeywell - companies that received no Government money. GM seems to have forgotten that they are a competitive disadvantage for the United States. If you don't want the pay package for the job, Quit! Stop crying about how the rules should be changed, yet again, for GM to survive. GM hardly liquidated any portion of their company during 2005-2010, unlike competitor Ford who removed nearly all its external brands to save money and negotiate with the labor unions. I'm so sick of hearing corporate execs cry about how much more they should be making. First off, I'd prefer that the CEO took all his money as salary so he would be charged a 33% tax rate, instead of the 15% he is paying on 75% of his income. It is this gross negligence for the public that draw class warfare. He should remember the average person buying his product makes around $40K a year (he makes 16 times that a month at nearly 642K a month). This guy makes roughly $3800 and hour during a 40 hour work week, unbelievable.

Thanks CEO's
