Tax them all I say!
Now why would the government HATE this type of tax system? It is simple, it makes it impossible for them to spend more than they take in and create long term spending projections. By not allowing them to guarantee you’ll pay them, you..the CITIZEN..have all the power. Hmm, sort of the way the Constitution intended. Remember, the Constitution simply gives the Congress the “ability” to tax, it doesn’t dictate how.
If Congress really cared about doing what is right, fair share all, they would minimize the income tax to something simple, say a standard 5% across the board with zero deductions. They would then create a federal sales tax, say 13%. That way everyone evading the current income taxation structure is now caught by the sales tax procedures and the average middle-class worker controls their own fate financially. Now what you will inevitably hear from Democrats is "this disproportionately hits the poor", well, the "poor" are very well covered by a multitude of programs. All this does is force a truly poor person to pass on the flat-panel TV and cell phone. Republicans will go on about how something like this would increase "gas prices", which is true, however, you're not paying tens of thousands in income tax anymore so your disposable income is vastly increased and exponentially compared to the rise of products.
It makes sense, and that my friend is the problem. Remember, all workers pay tax, usually..sales tax at some point. So the State in this case has a better method; lower income tax, higher sales tax. That formula is guaranteed to work. If we could just get a group of leaders that led, instead of managed, we’d be in a much better spot financially.
