Understanding the "Tea Parties"

The President was quoted yesterday saying "you'd think these people would be happy" because taxes in 2010 are lower, in general, then prior years. Well sir, people realize when you sign 780B TARP projects and 800B health care bills while you have hundreds of billions of dollars going to two wars with no concept of how to pay them and you have generated a 14T dollar debt (fyi, Bush had it around 7T and people went crazy on the democratic side). People aren't as dumb as you believe Mr.President, they know a bill will come due on this. They are thinking past today and looking at tomorrow. Granted, this is unusual. Usually the US population acts very much like sheep, just look to the Clinton presidency. All people saw during Clintons reign was high DOW and easy money and easy life. They didn't care that troops were slaughtered in Mogadishu or US embassies were blown up left and right in Africa, all they cared about was themselves. Now, people are looking past themselves. This should wake you up Mr. President. Mocking and ignoring a movement of this magnitude is failure. Maybe after your epic party loss in November 2010 you'll understand. Sadly, you've already done damage.

Fox News or CNN?

Ah, Fox and CNN. Where to start. Each one has its own bias. I was, for a very very long time an avid CNN viewer, literally the TV would be on CNN when I got home from work and stay there. Until the 2008 elections. I could not believe how much CNN backed the Democratic party. Almost to a point of annoyance. For every on RNC member on a panel there would be 2 DNC, usually one black man and one woman. The RNC person was almost always a white male. What I couldn't believe was the entire lack of respect for the opposing candidates on the Republican side.
