Trump turns down NAACP
OK, lets be honest, black voters turn out almost 8 out of 10 or more to vote for Democrat Party candidates, they also have low voter turnout and make up less than 18% of the population. Is it a surprise in an election where the middle-ground matters, those that vote Independent and change party selection, would be the his focus more than a group that simply wants him to pander to them?
Save the pandering for the lifelong politicians, people who have only spent their lives kissing and saying whatever to get a vote. This is all the NAACP wanted (more ass kissing and telling them why their concerns 'trump' those of 80% of the Nation):
"You can't run for president and not talk about police misconduct and police brutality. You can't run for president and not talk about this country's civil rights agenda, so this is an important moment and our convention really will be an opportunity for anyone running for president to provide a window into not only their policies, but into their heart and character as a candidate."
I'd much rather Trump focused on the Nation as a whole (if he is President) than a Group of Americans. Dems and Reps have focused on these groups for over 50 years, and our Nation is in a horrific space right now. The NAACP, as usual, isn't being honest. If they were they would ask Trump how they believed Trump could empower them to clean up urban distress that causes mass death and irresponsibility of their constituents. I'd rather Trump talked about Energy, Economy, getting out of NAFTA, making others take a broader role in policing the world..and so forth.
