Leaked 30,000+ emails, including Top Secret ones, no punishment.
Quick question, what do these quotes and modern day events have in common:
Our investigation looked at whether there is evidence that classified information was improperly stored or transmitted on that personal system in violation of a federal statute that makes it a felony to mishandle classified information either intentionally or in a grossly negligent way, or a second statute, making it a misdemeanor to knowingly remove classified information from appropriate systems or storage facilities.
From the group of 30,000 e-mails returned to the State Department in 2014, 110 e-mails in 52 e-mail chains have been determined by the owning agency to contain classified information at the time they were sent or received. Eight of those chains contained information that was top secret at the time they were sent; 36 of those chains contained secret information at the time; and eight contained confidential information at the time. That's the lowest level of classification.
Why is it that people can't see how this is exactly what the Bernie Sanders contingent was talking about? The blatant and overt disregard and seeming complete disregard for actual law. If you're voting for Hillary, you should really consider what kind of person you are.
"This disclosure is not just an attack on America's foreign policy; it is an attack on the international community, the alliances and partnerships, the conventions and negotiations that safeguard global security and advance economic prosperity."
The illegal disclosure of secret information "puts people's lives in danger, threatens our national security and undermines our efforts to work with other countries to solve shared problems,"
“I have to abide by certain classified information,” “If I was to release stuff, information that I’m not authorized to release, I’m breaking the law. … We’re a nation of laws. We don’t individually make our own decisions about how the laws operate. … He broke the law.”
Well the first one was said by, then, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in regards to Bradley Manning and the following was a 2011 response by President Obama on the same topic. However, today the FBI Director avoided his responsibilities with Usain Bolt like speed. Proclaiming that while it was quite clear the law was recklessly violated, because Hillary Clinton didn't intend to cause problems - she should not be charged. So, question, does this rhetoric work for all of us? I mean, if I get drunk and plow down a couple orphans and nuns, can I claim that it wasn't my intent so I can't be charged? Seems legit now.
Something equally disturbing were the FBI Directors actual comments, which seem to contradict his recommendations:

We have conducted interviews and done technical examination to attempt to understand exactly how that sorting was done by her attorneys. Although we don't have complete visibility because we're not able to fully reconstruct the electronic record of that sorting, we believe our investigation has been sufficient to give us reasonable confidence there was no intentional misconduct in connection with that sorting effort.
- Bradley "Chelsea" Manning went to jail for leaking State Dept Emails.
- Edward Snowden lost Citizenship and was isolated from the United States for illegally releasing classified information
- General David Pertraeus was forced to resign in disgrace for releasing confidential messages to a reporter
