Stop listening to the media.
Believe it or not, the world is actually a pretty calm place. All statistics show since the general dawn of Western Civilization, right now is the calmest time to live. Least wars, least death, though you probably didn't know that. You probably think the world and America right now are vicious places - well you're simply misinformed. Do a little research and stop believing what talking-head media headlines would have you think.
While you're out today chasing mythical Pokemon, consider using that computer in your hand for something other than your own entertainment and you would learn that the World is pretty amazing right now, with amazingly good people in it. Here in lies the problem, see, we focus on bad. If you look at any major news site right now, I guarantee you you'll find more 'bad' than good, more 'problems' than solutions...I'll also add that NONE of it is probably happening in your neighborhood. And that is the problem with technology, it brings you information that alters your perceptions incorrectly. Does knowing that cops were killed in Dallas effect your day if you hand't known? Probably not, unless you lived in Texas and I'd offer only Dallas, then this issue does not matter to your existence on the planet. Consider shootings in schools, terrorists, blacklivesmatter campaigns and most other 'news' items - they have zero barring on your life. None, almost no impact in a positive way what so ever. How would your life be and your actions be different if you didn't know about any of these things? You see ignorance, when it comes to modern infatuation with technical media babble, is a good thing.
So my advice, just ignore it!! Stop reading it, move on, look for only the good and focus on only things happening in your area. Stop globalizing your thought process, it is unnecessary and probably damaging you if not limiting your lifespan. Look for the good, stop apologizing and looking for the bad. My guess is when you focus on your own backyard, you will stop worrying about others actions hundreds of miles away and you will start living a better life.
