World Series

I am not a true baseball fan but I am a sports fan. Man I love this World Series. Any time that a game can be determined by the pitcher alone, is awesome.

The economy has turned around, or has it?

For the first time in nearly two years the GDP is up. Woohoo. However, how true is that figure? Unemployment is near 10%, interest rates from the Fed have flat-lined, debt has passed one trillion dollars. The problem here is that the "good news" is propped up by bad actions. Cash for Clunkers, flat interest rates, Government stimulus all of these aspects are UNSUSTAINABLE. What does that mean? That this growth, is fake. It is a misrepresentation of current situations for the "hope" that it makes people feel good. Remember, Obama Money is YOUR MONEY. Ask yourself this, what has all this stimulus and redistribution done to help your personal situation.

GW hid an EPA email.

Well it finally came out, the Bush Administration had emails from the EPA on global warming that proclaimed there was a chance certain emissions were potentially killing people. What the email probably didn’t say is that the EPA has been vastly inaccurate in the past with such proclamations. But why focus on that when you can simply say “see, Bush was bad”. So we claim to be fond of the European style of democracy and pseudo-socialism. Everyone works equally, gets paid equally and all things are just. They are just, just not accurate. London has led a bandwagon of simply ignoring debt to cover social progress. It was always viewed as "the debt will figure itself out", well..it hasn't. Now London finds itself in quite a predicament. It needs to drum up money and the preferred method, selling off property and assets. Why ACORN should worry everyone.

Any corporation of good size has corruption. It is inevitable, on one level or another. This is because whenever you put large groups together under the guise of a common cause, for PROFIT, you will have issues. There is no corporation or government organization in the United States of America that doesn't have some level of corruption somewhere within the organization. Now does that mean you wreck the 'system' or 'corporation' to rid the 15% or less that could be problematic, of course not. But you do remove the issues when you find them and make adjustments to, at least, attempt to remove the possibility in the future. Health Care "Town Halls"

You couldn't ask for more vindication for the working class. Watching elite Senators sit in a state of confusion because they can't understand why the people they work for are so tired of their non-sense. The vast majority of town hall meetings to discuss health care, since Congress left for the summer, have ended in devastation with..in come cases..congresspersons being escorted away from their own event by police. I'm not advocating violence by any means but it is nice to see people finally get off the couch and express their opinion. It is also amazing to watch the Democratic and Liberal media try to say "the GOP or RNC is setting this up" cause God knows, someone with a 51% approval rating and a Congress with a 30% approval rating can't have any enemies. Wake up already.

Societies Dregs

As a nation the US now seems hell bent on supporting the lowest common denominator. Individuals who, without personal discretion, spent more than they had, lived a very socialist lifestyle sucking off the tit of others and now the government using the tax dollars of responsible individuals to pay for it. The vast majority of income tax is paid by the top 5% earners in the US, 94% of all income tax is paid by the top 50%. How about we STOP scrapping the bottom of the barrel and lowering the bar of success to allow failure to be rewarded. Individual bankruptcy was up 34% last month. So with all this stimulus, where are those individuals "bailouts"? I guess they can make up part of our 10% unemployment now. It truly amazes me how people can have a high approval rating of this administration when they have assisted in double digit unemployment and a 13.5+% deficit spending (it was 4% when Bush left office, so you can't blame them..sorry). Father's Day is tomorrow and I can't help but think about my dad. I look back on his life and his times and I am constantly amazed. The things this man saw and the events he went through are substantial. This is a man that was born in the 1940's. In his youth he saw the close of World War II, the Korean War, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the assassination of a US President, a man on the moon, Vietnam, the dawn of technology, the birth of the Internet and numerous other universal events that I had to read about in a history book for the most part. I think about my father often. The life he lived and lives, the things he has seen and the things he has overcome. My dad was born the son of a Marine in the bowels of South Philadelphia. He spent his days going to Catholic school and playing stick-ball, basketball and any other sport with his friends. He started working when he was barely a teen. 15K tax credit for ALL home buyers

So regardless of income, you'd get it. This is a GREAT idea. At some point this nation has got to start rewarding those amongst us (the vast majority actually) that paid their bills and live within their means. For to long we've been playing second fiddle to the failures of society. The odds of a responsible person making responsible choices with a 15k tax credit is far more probably than a person who got in a loan for much more than they could afford with no plan of paying it back. Since it is more than debatable that humans effect on the climate will destroy it for human life, enviro-nazis (including governments) are altering their data. Since the days of Sam Kinison when he'd joke about "we have deserts, we don't live in them because nothing grows there" we have pretty much all expected death from malaria, disease and famine to be high in African countries. However now people are saying you can see the effects of humans on the climate by looking at death tolls in Africa from things like, hmm, Malaria and famine. Ridiculous. There are real things humans could do to lessen their damage tally, such as solar powered communities or hydro powered towns, but that would be too obvious. Credit bill gets a gun rule

Awesome. As a LIFE NRA member, I couldn't be more happy. Routinely bills are piggy-backed for liberal concerns, it is great to see a BOR concern get in. I also find it highly hilarious that the vast majority of municipality, city, county, state and federal laws pertaining to restricting gun, are generally SHOT down. That should tell us something, the majority is IN FAVOR of guns, not opposed to them. They are IN FAVOR of enforcing existing laws, not appending new ones.

To all the folks and politicians who want to 'close GITMO' I will ask you this, fine then, take the prisoners of this institution and keep them entirely in your state. They will become YOUR responsibility. The military has effectively handled them for nearly a decade, but some feel a necessity to interfere in something they can't comprehend. I'll take any Supreme Court judge as long as they aren't black. Could you imagine if Obama said something like that? Or if the US Congress said something like that? Pretty sure that would be a ACLU nightmare led by the league leader, Rev. Sharpton. But for some reason, when Congress and the President dictate (without saying it verbally) that the next Supreme Court nominee can NOT be a white man, nobody has a problem with it. Yesterday was a great day

I was working in the yard all day, though it is hard smashing the rocks with a pick-axe, digging trenches, laying mulch and moving what seems like 100lbs bags of soil, I can't think of an experience that brings you closer to nature. Most normal people think it is gross to use your hands, without gloves, to work in the yard. I love it. Can't think of anything that toughens your skin up faster than swinging a 8lb pick, or hauling dirt from one spot to another. There is just something special about doing the work yourself, while you watch others pay to have it done. Go Spring.

Ah, Fox and CNN. Where to start. Each one has its own bias. I was, for a very very long time an avid CNN viewer, literally the TV would be on CNN when I got home from work and stay there. Until the 2008 elections. I could not believe how much CNN backed the Democratic party. Almost to a point of annoyance. For every on RNC member on a panel there would be 2 DNC, usually one black man and one woman. The RNC person was almost always a white male. What I couldn't believe was the entire lack of respect for the opposing candidates on the Republican side. Tea parties, right-wing extremists and DHS reports

For the life of me I can't understand how Tea Parties, right-wing extremists and Republicans got linked together. DHS released a completely, IMO, illegal audit of its citizens basically stating any protest not praising the government was a 'problem' or could be problematic. You should be very cautious about a government that deems to oversee your utilization of the 1st amendment. You should also give pause when any non-conforming legal protest is vastly critical in government eyes. No matter your affiliation or views if you are a citizen of the United States and actually believe in the Bill of Rights, you should have problems with DHS reports being issued on legal matters. So far, in all the 'unclassified' reports I can read, I haven't seen one mention of anything illegal.

Lately you hear all these sob stories of little investors or Joe the Plumber who bought GM bonds and if this or that company goes under, they lose their money. Well, that is the life of investment. Please show me where it is written that you don't lose in an investment. I have yet to see a single investment that has no risk and no possibility of failure. Are we honestly in the practice of bailing out companies because their investors will lose money? It seems to be the road GM is trying to take their current situation. Pulling on the heart strings and stating 'look at our 6B in bond holders that will lose their investment'. Yes, losing all you money because you decided to sink everything into one company is sad, however, that is the name of the game. It is a risk/reward system. Tea parties and what they are really representing

All this tea party jazz has liberals and the like that thought they owned marches, rallies, blogs, forums, YouTube and the like in a tizzy. They just can't believe that people would come out for causes other than; race relations, the environment or human rights. The concept that an event could happen that they haven't sanctioned is just mind numbing. On to the tea parties. I've followed a couple of liberal blogs and news reports essentially dissing anyone of the thousands involved in the tea parties as "useless", "unimportant" or "disrespecting history". So you're living to serve the government. Ask yourself this, is this what America was founded to do? Pay taxes? You need to work at least 103 days from January 1, 2009 just to pay your taxes for 2009. So nearly 1/3 of the year is done simply to pay taxes. The lowest tax state in the Union is Alaska, the same place where nobody seemed to take their Governor seriously during the election. The top states that charge the most; New Jersey, New York, California and Maryland round out the top five all majority Democrat states. That should tell you some thing right there. If you like working for nothing, you're getting your way. Fun times

Iraq after the US invasion.

Now Iraqi leaders and other middle-eastern leaders are worried about what will happen when US forces pull out in the next 2 years. These are the same leaders that proclaim how they don't want western involvement. Okay folks, you can't have it both ways. However in their defense, this is partially the US's fault. Had we just let the military be a military and not a police force, this rationalization would have happened years ago. Gun laws in the United States make little if any sense. Some how individuals have reasoned in their minds that if there were no guns, there would be no murder. Or some level of that logic. What that means is that if a person really wants to do something, they'll find a way to accomplish it. You can find this in a two year old child. In recent weeks the DOW has climbed 21%, that in all economic terms is the start of a bull market. The question is, is it permanent? Housing has also been moving slowly upward as far as sales of existing homes and new construction goes. This has all been playing out while Obama unleashes a 3.8T spending spree. Now, the spree has not been signed off on so a lot of people ask "why spend it?". The question is, are financial sectors moving forward because they are more solid now than last year or is this movement a direct result of the foreseen eminent passage of this budget? That is a core question. I don't think anyone, liberal or not wants a 3.8T debt. Maybe I'm wrong. Obama also recently established a "tax" group to look for more revenue in the tax code. The Federal Reserve wrote a check to the Treasury for 1 trillion dollars. They didn't have that money, they just invented the figure. Why? AIG did what the US Congress allowed them to do. They violated no law of the package they were given. Chris Dodd admitted he put a clause in that allowed AIG to pay back employees/consultants in the form of bonus checks. Yet, when the heat cranked up...Congress yelled at AIG: "HOW DARE YOU DO WHAT WE, AHH, TOLD YOU TO DO! - BASTARDS" Umm, Congress didn't you OK this? Yup you did. Nice work. And now there is a rumor that Congress wants to stick its fat fingers in Credit Cards. Apparently they aren't too happy the CC are simply cutting back limits and removing holders. Burn Pits - in all basic form, the burning of large quantities of..."crud". The DoD does this in a war zone as a form of clean up. For decades the practice has been in place and the VA is just now studying to see if this is a health problem for soldiers et. al.. Really? Really?!? We need a study for this? I'd think it would be obvious to assume that if smoking cigarettes is bad for you, inhaling burning toxic fumes is probably bad too. I know I'm going out on a limb. Chris Dodd, Chair of the Senate Banking Committee, first claimed "I knew nothing of bonus protection in the stimulus package for AIG" then about 5 hours later "I put in the bonus clause". Rushing to his defense was the Treasury Secretary who said, basically, "the Administration made me do it", laying blame at Obama's feet. So the question is, who do you trust? This is some really nice change we've got here. At least Obama didn't lie, this is change. With Bush it took at least a few months to find out how moronic people were, with Obama you find out the same day. Thumbs up to that. Taxing AIG bonuses So because Congress couldn't read the bill they wrote, they are now attempting to use the IRS to legislate. Via tax code they are attempting to "get money back" because they couldn't write a bill correctly. So they have wasted days/weeks coming up with possible tax solutions. Lovely. I guess it would have been too difficult to write something like: ..monies provided to an institution for the purpose of financial stabilization provided with US Treasury funds will not in any way or form be used to pay for salary or prior services not prudent to the survival and buttressing of the current or future financial stability of the institution. At no point should US Treasury funds be used to pay for present or past employee or consultant efforts or resources. In the case of divergence from this passage will result in removal of the equivalent number of funds from the provision and no further requests for monies will be granted.

Today during the AIG hearing, Congress came out admitting they didn't know that the bonuses were OK'd by the stim pkg. Apparently, NOBODY read the damn thing, but they did sign away 800B of your dollars!

US soldiers in Alabama

22 US Army soldiers, not National Guard, were used to patrol the streets of Alabama following a shooting spree. This is 100% illegal per the Constitution post reconstruction! 22 US Army soldiers and no one is saying "we ordered it". I'm telling you now, you want to lose weight..start eating wraps instead of sandwiches and the rest of the crap you throw in your body. These are so simple to do and you can flavor them any way you like. Here are some essentials: Mission Wraps, whole grain/herb/tomato/basil/etc...there are a ton of flavors Shredded lettuce Shredded cheese Shredded meat (turkey/chicken/steak/veal) Light Ranch Dressing Now you can mix and match as you like. Some variation I add are things like: Franks Red Hot, Chili peppers, various mustards, mushrooms, bell peppers, etc. You can make breakfast wraps: 2 eggs, American cheese, onion, bell peppers. Mix them up in a pan, put them in a wrap with some hot sauce or salsa. Perfection. For dinner, roast a small chicken. Pick it clean. That will provide chicken wrap variants for a week. Take steak, cut into thin strips. Rub with a tablespoon of butter, add italian seasoning and garlic. Now stir-fry with mushrooms and onions, throw in a wrap with ranch dressin...
