Blacks in America have an issue with gun violence.

Image
I'm sure the title of this post makes some immediately think "Racist" however, an intelligent reader would wonder why I drew that conclusion - frankly its based on mathematics. According the the Bureau of Justice Statistics from the mid-70's through 2005 there were vastly more gun related events between blacks in America than whites. In fact, you could almost set a clock by it with how consistant white gun events were versus black. So what could cause this? Most inner-cities such as New York or Los Angeles or Chicago, have very strict gun laws; so why so much violence? The answer is simple, the problem however is complex. The breaking down of families within the black community and the over-reliance on "Government" compiled on the overall disregard communally for education and advancement out of a current social situation leads to this violence. Look at this chart, it clearly shows a trend and issue. The question we need to ask America is why are leaders...

There is something very wrong with your media, America.

Whether it is the media or the people, something is very odd about the United States of America. In recent weeks there have been a few significant tragedies within the USA; Newtown Massacre at a School and two Firefighters apparently setup to die. Here is the very sickening part, murders aside, the infatuation the American media has with these events. Literall within minutes of the Newtown massacre media was on the scene trying to get as many pictures and sound bytes from children as possible. Capitalizing as much as possible on tragedy in sickening fashion. Next on the disgusting list is the death of two firefighters who were apparently setup with a fire call. The media couldn't wait to get the audio of the firefighters initially responding out. That is at a minimum disgusting and a maximum a tragedy of the 1st Amendement. Is this what the citizens want to hear? Is this what they care about - the voices of anguish, images of tragedy? Or is it quite possible that this is what the ...

All a flutter to destroy the US Constitution.

Image
Every few years politicians attempt to alter the interpretation of the Constitution for their own Agenda and for perceived rationales. Almost without fail these rationales are based around security, nearly 100% of the time. Whether it be security from a Nation, security from a Terrorist or security from internal threats - Security bar none, is the greatest tool in dismantling the Constitution. This was not lost on the Founding Fathers, for many made similar statements as the often plagiarized quote "those who will trade liberty for security deserve neither, and will lose both". They knew that Americans would find themselves overwhelmed by their own responsibilities, especially at the Federal level. As a defense they put in several well articulated and detailed constraints over what the Federal Government could do to the People and States. No Amendement in the original Bill of Rights is more profound than the 9th. The 9th clearly states that the Federal Government only mainta...

Don't let one tragedy beget another.

America is faced with yet another mass-shooting and yet again America looks for answers. As we face the horrific tragedy of a man intentionally murdering 20 children and 6 adults we search for answers, we ask why, we ask how nobody saw this coming and how we could protect against it; all valid questions. However most of these questions have no answer, no easy way out and no predictive capability. Sometimes people snap, sometimes the pressure of society and prior grievances turn themselves into an unpredictable rage. Sometimes there are clues, indicators and warning lights that come on letting you know a person could be mentally unstable over time. This is what needs to be thoroughly defined. There is a catastrophic risk in blaming equipment used for the act and resulting tragedy. Again America finds small fractions saying that the tragedy would have been stopped if there simply wasn't a weapon. If there weren't guns, the children and adults would be alive - while particularly ...

If liberals in America had something to write about.

It is amazing, all liberals seem to be able to write about in America is Class-Warfare, Gays or Blacks - anything else is apparently not worth it. It use to be that liberals leaned towards "green" articles, pushing anything the Sierra Club shuffled them, now it seems they are all about sex and skin tone. Seriously a waste of ink kids.

The Common Union

The force of a union has been seen since the 1500-1600's when English Workhouses would bring in the poor and unfortunate masses and make them work for the common good; in return getting shelter and food. Essentially this benefited the society more than the man. However, it was a quite common way of distinguishing the poor from the unfit. You could consider the term "Nobility in Poverty" coined during this age. As the years ran by the term union shifted. During the dawn of the industrial age, many workers found themselves abused by corporate masters - steel workers, mine workers, truck drivers, assemblers and welders all were abused with low wages, unfit working conditions and the dire risk of unemployment if they dare complain. As a result the modern day union was born. The concept revolved around the "masses" and "collective bargaining", where by the workers united and created a common force; this meant the owner couldn't simply fire whomever the...

STFU about sex and race...Sweet Lord

God damnit can the media stop telling me how important it is that a woman or a black or hispanic person did something. Really, who cares. Oh I know who cares, the NAACP, NOW and politicians..oh and labor movements. That is about it. So here is a small list that I will increase inevitably as articles come up that do nothing more than attribute race or sex to success: 1. Women are Special and deserve Anchor Jobs with Skirts 2. It's OK you were an opportunistic whore 3. Hillary Clinton deserves an award for not having a twig & berries 4. Hey, it's your vagina..who cares if its murder 5. 10 Reasons a Uterus should run the CIA - on nothing more than having a Uterus 6. Let's see if kids are born racist 7. Here is a winner, "There is no war on men, you just feel entitled" - says the 50 year old white op ed writer for CNN who never had a real job 8. Lost your entire morale compass? Well fuck your way out of it to be continued....

People who post on CNN

These folks have lost their freaking minds. Every time I attempt to read an article on CNN and see the comments, there is always a diatribe of liberal non-sense and religious hatred. It is truly amazing considering the viewers of CNN consider themselves 'open minded'. Ridiculous, you can't read a comment on that site without some vulgar non-sensical and partisan based reply. I wish for simply one second we could read something in society and not have the obvious responses. It is also amazing to me how people want to tell people what they should be believing....outstanding World..outstanding.

Stop talking about Blacks in Power

Today there was an article about how 10 plus female Democrats said that the comments and critiques of Susan Rice is because..wait for it..she is a black woman. Yup, has to be race related right? I mean we have a BLACK president, when Bush was President he had a BLACK Secretary of State, twice - obviously the criticism is totally because old white people don't like blacks, that must be it. Even though the President was elected, twice, by white people. The same whites that are also apparently racist. I seriously can't wait for these old gripers, those 45 and over, are gone. All they do is bring up issues that aren't problems and focus on issues of the past for todays arguments. Get over yourselves already. Any error of the past by "whites" on "blacks" are gone, they don't exist in mass any more. The vast majority of corruption of races on each other is from their own race. Look at any single statistic, and that story will be told. The problem is Amer...

There are no "Bush" tax cuts, there are "Obama" tax cuts.

I am so tired of the reference to "Bush Tax Cuts", all the talk on the news groups today was will Obama extend the "Bush Tax Cuts", there are no Bush tax cuts. Obama extended his version of this plan two years ago, these are Obama tax cuts. Can we please stop referring to a time that no longer exists! And there is a unique term that the media is throwing around now to cover the fact that the Tax plan is the current presidents - the term..."The Bush ERA Tax Cuts". When, oh when, will the current administration stop looking into the rearview and start looking 'forward' as they've quipped.

Stop pandering

Listening to the Republican party try to figure out what it should have done to win is absurd. I'm hearing this "oh we should have used Rubio as the running mate to get Latinos" - really? You mean the only way to win is to pander to racist acts so that a group of minorities will vote for someone who looks like them? If that was the case, why didn't you run Rubio/Rice, have a Cuban and Black woman, wouldn't that have covered your bases? Now I'd love to say that wouldn't matter but when you see that over 80-90% of blacks voted for Obama - and considering the vast majority of minorities vote for Democrats anyway, maybe it would have mattered. Either way, Americas voting populace is a failure and the electoral college is a complete joke. How can one candidate get 60M votes, the other 57M and the electoral college has a 100 point gap? It is time that a few counties in a few states didn't determine the winner. In Maryland, 4 counties determined the State, s...

Note to the Republican Party, oh and Democrat one...

Dear Republican Party - you're done. It is time you noticed :) I can finally go back to supporting the LP knowing that no matter how much the country wants to change, you simply aren't in the game any more. You couldn't muster a tax plan to shut down the Dems nor could you capitalize at all on anything that sounded more than simply throwing dirt on a dirty party. The Dems proved one thing, they play the game far better than you do. So, that said, that was my last dance with the Reps or Dems for that matter. Back to principles baby :) http://www.lp.org/

FoxNews & CNN

FoxNews and CNN, please for the love of God and your own bodies, STOP with all the patrician bullshit. I don't think America can handle it again for 4 years. The last 2 years were absurd enough with each network doing everything it could to paint the other in a bad light. I don't want, nor care to hear, the "bias" stories. Just shut the ---- up please. The voting is done, Obama is out of office in 4 years no matter what, please, focus on helping the country not reporting every dirty sometimes false fact you can find. The Republican party was a colossal let down for me and my Libertarian friends that voted on your side this election run. You proved that the GOP simply can't get it done, sad really. My only hope is the LP stands up and takes the place where you fell off. You didn't know how to play the game today, how could you have so much resentment and not manage to come up with a detailed tax plan over the last year? That would have at least got you indepe...

Voting in America.

Since 1792 the United States of America have done something truly amazing. They elected leaders, without violence, intimidation or retribution. This is something special because for the vast number of nations and kingdoms of the time, this was not a reality. Now this early founding wasn't without problems, specifically as to who was allowed to vote, but over time this systems has matured. In fact, today the United States of America have one of the greatest overall inclusive voting paradigms. It is amazing that with all the turmoil and striffe that Americans precieve, these events go off for the most part without issue - that isn't to discount the lovely hanging chads or Black Pathers at polling stations - but is to say of all the areas and persons that voted, issues are few. No matter how much political parties try to say otherwise. What is truly exceptional is that America has continued to move over two centuries with the same overall system of government, amazing. And this s...

Got to love the NFL

Here we go, the Falcons are 8-0 and the NFL is treating them like some amazing thing. Sound familiar at all to the Packers last season? Sadly, the Falcons will be one and done in the playoffs....

Remember When (Halloween Edition)

Image
Remember when Halloween movies were scary; when Werewolves and Vampires were arch enemies and very, very evil. It seems as though Werewolves and Vampires today have been made out to be some metro-sexual experience. It started with "Interview with a Vampire" where Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise turned blood sucking savages into some type of artsy, makeup wearing and emotional mess. I think it was better when you had Bram Stockers masterpiece turned film in 1992 - evil vampire kills people - that was it. Onto Werewolves and their cover of Teen Magazine failure in the "Twilight" series. Remember the Wolves in 'The Howling', 'An American Werewolf in London' and 'Wolf' - those were serious beasts; vicious frightening and not to be hugged, kissed, dated, longed for, etc.. Vampires and Werewolves have seen some recent films portray them in the original bad ass light: The Underworld series comes to mind. At least in those semi-recent films the beasties w...

No matter who wins the election, America has changed.

America has changed. Today both parties admitted that the race for the Presidency was razor thin and this means that the country is greatly divided. America has a problem, it has two very different types of thinkers and a common set of problems. Should Obama retain office he will find even stronger objection than he has seen in the past, this is because like most things, blood in the water draws attention. It is obvious now to America that the King is not beloved by all. If Romney wins he will undoubtedly face an absurd obstructionist Democratic regime hell bent on convincing America that Obama was right for the Country. In the end, little will change immediately for America though one must think a change of crowns at least warrants a reshuffling of the economic deck across the World. Whether that is beneficial or not will remain to be seen. This is a cross-roads for America, much like cross-roads in the past where two lines of thinking have come wholeheartedly against one another. On...

Pakistani teen shot for blogging.

Here is something I'd like to know, where were all these people before she was shot by the Taliban? Were they some how confused that the Taliban was medieval in their tendencies? Were they confused about fanatical Muslims? It is unbelievable to me that all the sudden this is an issue - and while I feel for this child - this world is pathetic and totally full of sheeple..... Sheep Unite

Affirmative Action

Affirmative Action (AA), a legislative manipulation of statistical analysis since the 1960's is now under scrutiny in America. When AA was created, it was established to level a completely uneven field between whites and blacks in America - and it helped establish civil rights, which was an exceptionally good move by Government. However, today, AA has run its course and is now used to divide and discriminate whites vs blacks, and more so, used as a football for organizations such as NAACP which would be defunct if AA was gone - and that is a lot of money to walk away from. AA was essential and necessary for decades to make up for horrible discriminations of the past and to enforce equal opportunity for all Americans. Today however this has been bastardized from opportunity to success. Now Americans are told that everyone should receive the same results for unequal work. You see it initially in schools as children are manipulated statistically instead of looking towards communal fa...

Sick Cyclical China Syndrome.

Americans cry about a few things such as the cost of products and the pay in jobs, or lack of jobs all together. I hear people cry about the lack of manufacturing in America, however, these are the same people that want to buy a cheap 50" flat-panel TV from WalMart, or a cheap car for Japan. This is the cycle. We want to buy cheap and get paid high, much like the stock market - yet we rail against that. The problem ultimately occurred in the late 1980's and early 1990's - when programs like NAFTA and others encouraged manufacturing companies to move their development and support out of the United States via tax break and regulations demanding business give American workers certain salaries/benefits. Essentially, this is entirely Governments fault. Government carves the regulations that make American industry non-competitive such as some of the strictest environmental laws in the World and insane support of ridiculous labor agreements. It is this regulation and governmenta...

So tired of watching the US apologize.

I'm so tired of watching the American government pretend and apologize for a movie to a bunch of radical religious nut jobs in the desert. We need to stop pandering to these clowns. Why is it OK to rally against Christianity but not Muslim faith? Muslims have some serious soul searching to do if they really want to be depicted as "not" radical by default. It is my opinion that the Middle East needs to get a handle on the radical aspects of their general faith, it is only a matter of time before the so called "West" reacts more directly. There is a growing feeling in America that the constant bowing down to a religion is no longer to be tolerated. How long do you continue to send money to a country that disrespects everything you stand for? I wonder if the average Middle East citizen understands America at all? It seems not.

Time to leave the MIddle East behind.

America if you have learned nothing, know this the Middle East has nothing to offer America, nor the world. What we've seen since 2000 is that radical Islam is far to prevalent in those lands. It has cost America, and her allies, countless lives and funds and has returned nothing to the world. There is no reason for America to deal with the Middle East, none what so ever. It is high time that America simply disengage and begin building much stronger alliances with local countries. There is no purpose for American money or arms in the Middle East. We do not require their oil, we can do just fine without it. The region doesn't produce anything else. Instead of facing facts that Radical Islam simply hates life, we blame 'videos' or 'words' instead of recognizing that the individuals fly under a common flag, that of "Allah". For a long time we have tried to say that this is not a religious fight, but it very much is. For as long as we have had these non-s...

Target aid, NO AID.

It is high time the US stop pandering to Muslims and the Middle East. They have had more than enough time, and support, to get their world in order - they have decided not to. They have planned attacks on the very hand that provides them food. They are no longer in need of our support. I would be more than willing to pay $10/gallon for fuel (the only thing they provide to the world) if we received it only from Canada and Mexico. The Arab lands at this time in history offer the world little. The "west" has tried in vain to assist and provide a near 20th, not even 21st, century land for this group and they refuse to rally up against their oppressive regimes. Instead, they hide behind religion. Unlike the faith based destruction of old, this group refuses to grow up and become part of society. This group is offended at film, and pictures, yet has no regard for human life. Their time is over. No more aid, no more support, simply bombing from afar. No more shall America ebb and ...

Benghazi and the American Failure

Today we watched as an American Ambassador was murdered, the first since 1979, and his body beaten and dragged across the streets of a Country we supply weapons and money to. We watched today as an American President did nothing, but recognize the wrong and move on to Las Vegas, Nevada to petition for a second term as the Leader of the United States. This President had no US troops stationed at the Consulate with the Ambassador, even on the Anniversary of 9.11.2001. This President felt no need to strike out against the Libyan aggressor nor the Egyptian mobs; instead hiding behind political banter and commentary to his would be 'opponent'. For once in this Presidents career did he perhaps feel the shackles of despair that President Bush felt on 9.11.2001, the hopelessness while looking for response. Instead of meeting the aggressor head on, this President has apologized and the State Department has apologized via the US Embassy in Egypt to the poor people of those lands, the po...

No Easy Blog

I recently finished the "Mark Owen" book that details his experience as a SEAL from 1998-2012. This book is not a book strictly about Bin Laden, as those who haven't read it would lead you to believe, nor is it some uber-classified dictation of SEAL tactics. In fact, you'll learn more about special tactics in "Black Hawk Down" than you will in this book; unless of course you simply are oblivious to the Military. The book encompasses many experiences this SEAL has, both in mission and training. It is a very simple read and gives you a good first hand account of the day-to-day of an operator. The descriptions of operations and tactics that he describes can be easily found on the Internet with minimal research and the pain-staking way he avoids telling true details is impressive. At best this information, in context, is sensitive but not classified by any stretch. The part that I believe has put him in some 'luke warm' water with the Pentagon is two fo...

Made in God's image...

Man was made in God's image, but man confused the definition. God did not mean that your physicality was in his image, but your free-will. Your ability to create a life you want to lead; where you live, what you eat, who you keep as friends/enemies, what pets you have, and the type of life you lead. These are all decisions man makes that no other creature in the world possesses the capability to comprehend.

Seriously Democrats, are we that lost?

Democrats have prepared their platform for 2012 and it is headlined by "Abortion" and "Gay Rights" - really? Are those the two biggest topics in the minds of the majority of Americans right now? Social issues? I don't believe so. I think the biggest issue for Americans now are having a job, being secure, lowering taxes and improving the economy; not whether social issues are properly addressed. Don't get me wrong, there is a balance between prime-time issues such as the economy and quality of life issues however, they are not primary and our Nation is wrecked right now. Hopefully Democrats realize that the issues they've pushed with little success over the last 20 years are not the primary issues of today.

Evolution - a question. Free-Will a thought.

Evolution, the concept that all life can be traced to a common ancestor - one 'thing' that devolved into a trillion other things. It is the fundamental concept in the book "Origin of Life" and assumes that all living matter was created by other living matter. It does not answer one fundamental question to the concept, what was the first matter? What type of matter would spawn every known (and unknown) living organism? What always throws me is how it is so impossible to have faith in God, but so easy to have faith in well...space matter that creates all life. And another simple question to the folks that believe creationism is crazy and evolution is truth, if humans evolved from chimps, why are chimps still here? Please point to one of your other 'evolved' creatures who shares the planet with its immediate relative. It is a simple thought, if every life form on Earth is explained through science then Evolution has stopped. There are no other species switching ...

New Orleans - you did it again!

How is that possible, how is it conceivable that you really didn't leave when a Hurricane came? Seriously, watching these folks get 'rescued' is absurd. You knew this was coming, you knew what happens when you live below sea-level on the waterfront. Yet, you didn't go. I heard one guy say "we just waited to be rescued", what if nobody came? You'd most likely be crying blaming the Government for not being there. At what point do people start taking care of themselves?? Sheep.

Mr. Romney

Dear Mr. Romney, Please don't consider your Libertarian support anything but coincidental. You see as a great Man once said "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"; you're graced by replacing a failed President. It isn't that the majority of America will be behind you come November as much as it is that they can no longer stand 'Mr. Hope&Change'. It did help greatly that you hired a true leader in Paul Ryan to work with you, that at a minimum showed a solid ability to select leaders. Hopefully you do very well in assigning your cabinet. Remember that the reason Obama failed is that he focused on party goals more than the Country's needs. The Country is in a hard place right now, we need a clear leader that understands how to move forward - not how to push the blame. We need someone who understands the difference between a 'need' and a 'want' or a 'right' and a 'lust'. It is critically important that we fix the tax cod...

Parents are awesome.

With all the non-sense out there on YouTube, Twitter and the like, it was very cool to see this video posted: http://www.dump.com/parentsrap/ . Finally, someone making something useful, fun and enjoyable without being..well..dumb.

Dems, social problems are nothing in light of current issues.

As everyone could have predicted in light of complete failure in regards to anything relatively important to a nation on a national level - insert Economy, Jobs, War, Health, etc. - the Dems are trying to make 'abortion' an issue for the GOP this year. Abortion, really, that is the highest concerns for the average American today? I seriously doubt you could even falsify a poll to show that. The current administration put us in two more armed conflicts as a nation, destroyed our economy and gave us a near insurmountable debt, but we should be worried about when a woman can choose to terminate a pregnancy? Generally the Dems would have immediately gone to Gay rights but in light of the Chick-fil-a debacle, you know where Libs and Dems felt they could pressure a company with protest to drop its moral fiber at an executive level, and the fact that Obama has been a flip-flop king in regards to Gays, have taken that topic off the table. The fact of the matter here is the US has real...

Ha - Twitter Followers, What a Joke.

According to a research group that tracks what "false" Twitter followers exist, over 70% of both Obama and Kim Kardashian's followers on Twitter are fake. That's right kids, much like your friends on Facebook, they don't know these people. It turns out the vast majority of followers for both the Pres and Celebrities are in fact web bots. These are built to pad results and show influence where it doesn't exist, exactly like voter fraud. This is what happens when we assume popularity equates to some level of immortality. Oops

Lance Armstrong....what should we take away?

First off, any person in the world, America especially is guilty of this, that puts a person on the pedestal of a hero for physical capability is completely misguided. Physical talent is nothing more than a capitalization on a God given capability, and while admirable, it is certainly not the end-all-be-all quality of a hero. Let's look at the definition of "hero", according to Webster it is: a : a mythological or legendary figure often of divine descent endowed with great strength or ability b : an illustrious warrior c : a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities d : one who shows great courage" So according to that definition you could certainly say he was admired for his achievements, but noble qualities, let's look closely. While this is a man who showed great talent, it is now shadowed by the possibility the achievement was garnered by illegal means, if we look at character and nobility, well, there is much to be desired. People seem to forget ...

So the EPA taketh away, Obama gives back.

The EPA has for long hammered farmers by requiring corn be used in Ethanol which in turn is required in fuel, thanks to the EPA neo-Nazis. As a result, gas prices increase exponentially and corn product and reserves are depleted. Now as corn goes up in value and farmers are forced to provide corn for not only food, fuel and feed, while faced with drought, are further subsidized by the Government. Obama has once again OK'd his socialistic behavior and forced the US tax payer to flip a bill for more Government evolvement. 2012 elections can't get here soon enough.

Tapping the "Strategic" Oil Reserve

The Strategic Oil Reserve (SOR) in the United States was established in response to the gas shortages of the 70's from the usual suspect Middle East. And again, today in 2012, we find the Middle East is still a problem. Not exactly a shock, however, sadly the current Administration is attempting to use the SOR to lower gas prices for the election in 2012. The current raise in gas prices can be directly attributed to EPA regulation on refineries in the United States, nothing more - as driving in the US is down overall and no 'conflict' can directly support costs increases. Now, aside from for shear political reasons, lets explain why using the SOR is a catastrophic idea; if per chance Iran does disable the Strait of Hormuz for any amount of time. It is inevitable that Israel will strike Iran, that is a foregone conclusion, and when that occurs the only retaliation Iran has is to shut the Straight in the hope that then the West will pressure Israel to lay down arms. Now, whe...

LZ Granderson - you're blind to the world.

LZ - you couldn't be more preoccupied in your opinion on Mitt Romney. If for one moment you removed your "Republicans can only do wrong" blinders for just a few moments, maybe you'd realize that the United States needs realism; not adolescent naivety in regards to our future. You push the opinion that "people don't like Romney", that is simply not true and remember, the Presidency of the United States should not be a cool-kid contest. We tried that in 2008 and it gave us untold debt, horrible future for healthcare, another War and a litany of covert-military action throughout the world while all the while the President was proclaiming a posture of forgiveness for all the American wrongs. You seem to be on point on anything - not political. However every time you dabble into the realm of politic you get stuck in a Liberalistic Demagogue of non-sense. You attempted to analyze class-warfare via Romney, while avoiding at all costs the fact that for decades ...

We tried "Hope & Change"

So in 2008 America decided to try a new direction, one that claimed to aim away from War, away from Greed and the betterment of a society. It was nearly like the new generation of Camelot, to steal a Kennedy phrase, and carried equal pomp and circumstance. However, as time has played out, it has continued to be a thinly veiled and empty promise. The President came in and promised sweeping change and betterment, he had complete support of a full Democratic lead US Congress for over two years and yet, all that we seemed to receive was a failed Health Care replacement and trillions of dollars of debt; along with extension in the same policies he ridiculed his predecessor for and a new War along with escalated covert interacting in middle-eastern countries. All in all, America is far worse off in many forms that it was in 2008. Now the global economy and climate did not aid the President, and in most cases the United States is in a far better position than others; however the President si...

Gods of the Week.

Remember where the days of the week come from, and maybe you’ll understand why certain days just suck by the nature of their existence: Monday: Ironically “Manic Monday” was actually provided to us by Nordic God Mani. Mani personifies the Moon and races across the sky chased by a wolf name Hati representing “hate”. Whenever that nasty beast caught him, we have an eclipse. Ouch. So next time you wake up to that crappy alarm on Monday morning, figure this much, at minimum you weren’t eaten by a wolf and that is a pretty awesome start to a week. Tuesday: Ugh, the second day of a work week and taken from the Nordic God Tiwaz.. Tiwaz, like many Germanic/Nordic Gods, was a God of Battle. In the case of Tiwaz he was God of single combat, victory and glory. According to lore, Tiwaz gave his hand to save the world, so considering you have a few late afternoon meetings, at least you didn’t have to sacrifice a limb. Wednesday: Derived from “Wooton’s Day”, taken from the Nordic God – Odin. Odi...

Olympics - Basketball.

The best part of the US/France Basketball game in the Olympics was Carmelo Anthony crying about the amount of fouls called on the US. Well, Karmen-Ghia, in the US you don't play basketball, you play street ball on a hardwood court; rarely are traveling, tending or fouls called...and now they are. You're terrible, all of you collectively, at the technique of the game. It will be interesting to watch this team cry time and again about foul calls.

Chick-fil-A

For all the hating on Chick-fil-A I've heard over the last week, I'd think that the parking lot would be banished and desolate, however not the case. As I drove by two or three of these restraints in my travels yesterday I saw parking lots packed, and buildings full. I don't know if it is simply liberal media trying to press this bogus anti-Chick-fil-A cause, but it just doesn't seem the case. I can't wait till someone posts up the monthly earning of Chick-fil-A and attempts to market how the bogus boycotting has injured the company. Chick-fil-A for all the belief systems of the owner, doesn't discriminate against anyone in business practices and the fact the liberals are attempting to somehow associate a private owners opinion with the banishment of licenses to operate is unbelievable. And sadly for all their pandering and tweets, America by definition if a culture of the obese, and they need to eat.

Have you learned America?

I'm watching media report after report tell me how Obama is more personable than Romney, I'm sorry, America, we tried the "POTUS is cool" thing and where did it get us? More war, less money, more unemployment, less jobs and a lower GDP with a higher debt. Yeah, so cool does not equal prosperous. The last successful "cool" president was Clinton, and he wasn't cool until after his second term. Before him it was Kennedy, and he was only cool to those who didn't have to go to work and skipped out on Vietnam. Before that, you're looking to Roosevelt and I don't mean Franklin D.. Anyway, as I say, we've tried the cool non-credential "different" thing, it failed horribly. Time to go back to the basics. Does Romney have faults, absolutely..but so does everyone. What Romney towers over Obama in is experience in making money work and attempting programs that are completely agains the objectives of his party. Look at Mass health care, whil...

No Drones says Pakistan.

Pakistan told the US and UN yesterday that they would not accept drones in their country; well isn't that all nice and dandy. Will you also not accept the US hundreds of millions of dollars in aid either then? We ask as citizens because last we checked, your nation harbored Bin Laden for years and denied knowing his location. You are a failed, miserably governed state and have been that way for years. I weep for your people, to have such a horrifically failed government that leads to mass death daily and constant worry of the future. While other nations may suffer the slings and arrows of difficult times, few are as horrifically controlled as yourselves. I constantly wonder why you hate the "West" and I can only imagine it is out of jealousy. While Western Civilizations have had numerous failures in their rise to power, nothing is as epic as the lack of evolution of countries such as Pakistan. If you could go back in time to 1935, the country would look nearly the same. ...

Dane Cook cracks joke about Movie shooting.

So very, very, badly timed Mr. Cook. Now even years from now this joke probably would have received a mix response, but now, way too early. I'm sure he'll be forced to do the apology tour in order to keep his comedic career. He showed some pretty crappy judgement here, it was simply too early for a joke about this. I'm sure some will hammer him for being insensitive - which it was - however I don't believe he intended to offend, I believe he was attempting to bring closure to an awkward, uncomfortable and traumatic event. So the joke: http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2012/07/27/comedian-dane-cook-jokes-about-colorado-theater-shooting-in-standup-act/?intcmp=features “So I heard that the guy came into the theater about 25 minutes into the movie,” he said. And I don’t know if you’ve seen the movie, but the movie is pretty much a piece of crap. Yea, spoiler alert.” “I know that if none of that would have happened, pretty sure that somebody in that theater, about 25 m...

I love you Chick-fil-A

Now I was never a Chick-Fil-A fan, but now I am. I can't believe that cities like Boston and Chicago have actually tried to no allow business licenses to CFA simply because the owner doesn't believe in Gay Marriage. Remember, at no time did he encourage his business not to serve gays, not to assist gays or not to serve gay couples; this is just a personal view that the owner has. I for one will now buy CFA, simply because of the principle of the matter. America, back the hell up.

2nd Amendment

All I have to say is “What is wrong with you America?”. Ever since the shooting in Colorado I believe the majority of press-bound American writers have gone liberally insane. The types of Op-Eds being written in regards to what needs to happen with gun rights aka the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution is staggering at best. I have read articles that state things like “America needs to have an honest talk about gun rights” and watched State Attorney Generals file appeals against carry laws, when the law is well received by the masses. I don’t know if these folks have become overly impressed with their own posts, or lost their minds all together. In regards to the article on gun rights, it addressed the shooting in Aurora as if the murdering of individuals wasn’t a crime, owning a gun was. The writer repeatedly spoke of “legally purchased” firearms and the incorrectly classified a AR-15 rifle as an “automatic assault rifle”; there is nothing automatic, nor assault, about a legally pu...

NCAA Sanctions on PSU

Absurd, that is what you are Mike Wise columnist for the Washington Post. Mike seems to believe it is wrong that PSU student (students) are still allowed to play football. Really Mike, you believe that punishing the student-athelete is the way to go. These students did nothing wrong, they play football for a University. You'd think you'd see how removing their ability to play directly impacts their lives, but you don't seem to care for light of an incoherent babble in regards to what "you" believe is right. These students did nothing, and the NCAA taking away their ability to play in a bowl game also directly impacts their futures. Futures they spent a lifetime building. It is by no means their fault that Administration and officials at PSU did not do their job. If NCAA's objectives were to stop money from funneling to PSU through the program, the you could just have easily taken any profits for NCAA consumption. However, it is this usual American-esqu respon...

Tragic Shooting in Colorado.

It is a shame, the other night nearly a dozen people were shot in a Colorado movie theatre by a lunatic. It is sad that part of the human condition can lead to insanity. This individual adorned himself with red hair, to emulate the "Joker", put explosive traps in his home and car, and entered a theatre in Colorado with an AR15, shotgun and .40 calibre handgun. This man then decided to, randomly, kill people. This man, is a lunatic. It is sad that these types of events occur, there is no rhyme nor reason for such a random event. This man had only one run in with the law, and that was a speeding ticket. This is truly one of those events you couldn't have predicted, nor been prepared for. This is one of the problems of the human condition; things just seem to happen. What is important is to not lose site of the important aspect here, people died. There was not level of security, nor law, that would have stopped this event. There are dangers in the world, there is injustice...

A man who never caught a fish, telling you how.

The fearless leader of the United States, President Obama, announced the other day that businesses didn't make it on their own. Really, kind of a shocker. I guess his overall "point" was it takes a village to raise a child; giving examples of teachers or a person in your life giving you guidance that helped you as a business owner. However, what he said was: " If you got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen,” Obama said. "If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business, you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen. " See it is comments like this that scare the crap out of small business owners. When I ran my company I got advice from a close friend who built up my confidence, re...

March on Washington - revisited.

As I read the comments by Rep. John Lewis of Georgia I couldn’t help but think of how backwards the world has truly become. This is a man, a noble man, who led the way in the “Freedom Riders” March on Washington in the ‘60s for Civil Rights. He was instrumental and true definition of defined leadership. However, it seems as he turns 72 he seems to have changed his focus. As a leader in Congress for over a quarter of a Century, he is changing his position on ‘changing the Government’ and becoming more of a Democratic lion. He is encouraging the “Occupy Wallstreet” folks and asking that they keep a cleaner view of their end goal. What I believe is the turning point is now we have politicians encouraging citizens to essentially revolt around our financial structure and the way American runs; Capitalism. The irony is this is a man who spent a great deal of his life attempting to change the Government of the United States, and now that he is the Government, he’d like to change the private...

It's gettin' hot in here....

Power is out, that is what 1.5 million people on the East Coast of the United States are saying. And sadly, some of them and their elected leaders actually blame the power company. This is the same company that for years has been forced to lower rates and has been working 24/7 since the power outage to restore power. This is a storm that was 3 states wide, yet for some reason meteorologists couldn't see it coming. If anything, this teaches people to be at least a weeks worth of self-reliant. Good luck out there.

Healthcare, it's on like Donkey Kong.

Well world, tomorrow is the big day. The day the Supreme Court in the United States weighs in on the Constitutionality of the "Federally mandated" healthcare policy by Pres. Obama. Before you ask, yeah, we all agree healthcare in America from a cost perspective could and should be better; that said, we still have the best doctors..sorry world. Here is why the individual mandate will be, and should be, deemed unconstitutional. The US Constitution deems that Congress may levy taxes on citizens to raise income for the Nation, it does not allow Congress to mandate 'purchase'. That is why it will be deemed invalid. Now, as for the rest of the law..who knows. The individual mandate was complete bullshit, and a liberal compromise by Obama on the fact that he wouldn't agree to cover 'all healthcare' for everyone (because unlike his libby fools, he realizes that purchases like that are insane, ridiculous, un-supported and ineffective). Healthcare in America is AW...

Hit by the pitch.

A woman was hit by a ball at a little league game and is now suing the player, the child, for $150,000 in damages. At first glance this seems completely and 100% absurd, that is until you get a little detail. Apparently this occurred when the woman was sitting in the bullpen which was apparently fenced. The child, a pitcher, was warming up for a game. According to the woman, he was acting reckless with the ball. Now, had I not played baseball and been to hundreds of games over my life, I would call BS on this story. But, having seen first hand how dumb some kids act when throwing a ball and not even thinking about repercussions of an arrant throw, I can believe this. Whether that is worth $150K, I'm not sure. Bullying vs Harrassment

For some reason America has become confused between random childhood "bullying" and all out forceful harassment. The media would have you believe that schools are now infested with these bullying monsters, causing kids to run in fear and commit suicide; however I have a hard time believing this. Maybe it is the fact that I watch my children playing with others and understand that kids do mock and group up, and it is the parents job to step in and straighten the group out or the fact that I'm not mentally handicapped. Throughout the existence of man kind there has been bullying, mocking and making fun at ones expense. This is not a new phenomenon. What is new is social media, and the apparent disregard parents feel for blocking this outlet or monitoring this outlet in regards to their children. Nearly every "suicide because of bullying" you hear about mentions some where that "..and he was relentlessly mocked on Facebook or MySpace". For starters, why ...

Feds fight against voters rights.

Why exactly would the Federal government, aka the Justice Department, of the United States not want to make sure voters in elections were legal US citizens and..ya know..alive. This is insane. Apparently a legitimate voters rights are worth nothing when it comes to allowing "everyone" to participate in an election. America's electoral method is becoming a globalized joke. We do nothing to validate that those voting for a leader or laws in the nation have the right to do so; so what is the value of being a US Citizen? Let's look into it, citizens pay taxes, have the right to vote and are entitled to the benefits of those taxes. However, it seems that illegal entry to the US which requires no taxes be paid essentially in the form of income entitles you to the same benefits, and in some cases increased opportunities in America. That said, why be a citizen? You gain literally nothing from it. Come on America, we can do better. The Justice Department should be pushing an...

Why are rising tuition costs a problem?

Simple enough question, why are rising tuition costs a problem? I ask because it seems to be the leverage applied whenever a 'state' budget cut or lets say lack of spending, is offered up. There is this elaborate outcry of "don't raise in-state tuition costs", um, why not? Why should those costs not fluctuate like everything else in a free market system? Don't you believe that a tipping point would be reached by the school itself when it finds out that it no longer has an open bank account with the State? Wouldn't it be nice for the school to be accountable for its funds and budget, not blowing it on elite perks? Seems to me this is simply a ruse to get folks agitated at the thought of higher education costs going up. Well, last I checked, higher education wasn't an assumed virtue, it was something you needed to work for both mentally and physically. I have both undergrad and graduate certifications and degrees, all of which I had to find a means to p...

It's none of your business what I eat.

Recently the ever socialist Mayor of New York City attempted to outlaw "over-sized drinks". What exactly is an over-sized drink? According to Bloomberg, anything over 16 oz. Glad the food and drink Czar is here to tell us what we can have. Did I miss something, when did we lose all free will? Drinking a 32 oz. Coke doesn't make me any risk at all to the average citizen sitting next to me, so how exactly is it the Governments business what I drink? Government should step in to limit things in foods, but not the foods themselves. You want to limit Arsenic? Fine, limit it. You want to limit sugar levels in a drink, fine limit it. However, don't tell me what "size" I can buy. It is none of your damn business, and this false non-sense of somehow this relating to health care is insane. If that were the case, why are donuts, hamburgers and everything else legal? To these moronic individuals that believe this is a 'good' idea. Stop quoting me the BMI and ...

Oil Oil Oil

Oil Oil everywhere but not a drop to use. Have you noticed recently that when we discuss the "Canada through US oil pipeline" it always has to go to the Gulf. You know why that is? Because we export it!. Why don't we have refineries in the Dakotas or Wisconsin. Why don't we refine oil into fuel and keep it in the US. Oh yeah, because Europe is willing to shovel out 8 dollars a gallon as opposed to the US consumer wanting it between 2-3 dollars. Money money money. We should be asking the EPA why new refineries aren't allowed to be built, or ask the oil company why they export everything? People fail to realize that the North American continent has an oil reserve that rivals the Middle East, but we simply don't keep it.

Social Bubble

Here we go kids, starting on Friday the Social Bubble will get launched. Facebook is set to go public in the hopes of making over 100B dollars, in fact, each share already has 30 possible investors. However GM just pulled out all advertising from Facebook. Think about that. A company that is in the top 10 of those globally advertising pulled away from Facebook. Also throw this in only 1 of 2000 views of an ad on Facebook is clicked, 1 in 250 is clicked in Google. That is 10x the viewing. Consider this, when was the last time you clicked an ad on Facebook? How about the fact that Facebook is the next bubble. There still isn't a smart way to make money on social media, and why, because it is completely about self! If Facebook incorporated a direct feed of your personal eBay searches, maybe they could sell something, but as an advertising site, they suck. Facebook is used for people to talk about themselves, and hear about others, not 'buy' things. RIP Social Bubble 2012-2014...

Lawsuit to the NFL.

I'm sorry, all this suing the NFL for concussions is absolutely, 100%...absurd. What part of football is dangerous did these so called "athletes" not get? You were paid to play a dangerous sport, you knew it was dangerous, you pimped it, you embraced it, you were paid for it and you LOVED it. Now..you want to sue it. How nice. Too bad Marines can't sue the Military for creating a 'dangerous environment'. Last I checked, nobody forced you into the NFL. You got a BS and I mean bullsh-t degree from some University that pimped you in college and paid for your ride, then you left early to join the NFL for dollars. Now you have the audacity to act as if you shouldn't have had lasting injuries. Quick question, how many boxers are suing the boxing commission or murder themselves post-boxing because of "concussions". Pretty sure boxers suffer far more brain injury than a football player, yet you don't see them wacking themselves. Maybe the truth is N...

GM needs to get in touch with Reality- making $3800/hr isn't enough.

The CEO of GM was paid 7.7M in 2011, less than 2M was salary the rest came as cash on stock value. Now consider that he was suppose to make 9M but the stock value fell (fell, indicating the value of the company went down). Since GM wouldn't exist today if Obama hadn't bailed them out with tax payer money in 2008, GM has to file annual salary docs with the Government. Well, in this weeks filing GM showed its CEO salary and then had the unmitigated gall to say they were at a competitive disadvantage. That's right, they said their CEO's should make more than 7M a year. The important part to note is who they compared themselves to: Ford, HP and Honeywell - companies that received no Government money. GM seems to have forgotten that they are a competitive disadvantage for the United States. If you don't want the pay package for the job, Quit! Stop crying about how the rules should be changed, yet again, for GM to survive. GM hardly liquidated any portion of their compan...

New Paradigm - Shank the Bank

For years those in America have been told that we need to have good credit, buy a home, have tax shelters and always try to get a car with a warranty; well the world has shifted. Today as we've seen in the housing market, there is no shelter in owning a home. Nearly 47% of Real Estate sales this year have been a result of Short-Sales, or those homes sold whose loan value exceeded market value. Keep in mind the market value was assessed by the same institution that wrote the paper, or loan, on the property - the bank. The bank makes its money by taking yours, it is called 'interest'. As in it is their best interest to keep you in a loan paying more than your asset is worth. Homes had been safe investments for the long term, but as of late too many involved viewed the home as an asset for value purposes and too many Federal programs wanted to allow even the most unreliable, to retain a loan. In the middle of 2005 and 2006, this market was at it height. In fact, in most case...
